Describing feelings in words has always been extremely
difficult for me. When it comes to expressing myself, I
have always found it much easier to do so through
imagery. The best way I can describe my thought process
is a continuous dream. Dreams have the ability to
combine any idea, memory, feeling a person has ever
experienced and make it all into one mini movie. For me,
every thought feels like dream. Every thought of
mine is hooked to an image, a color, or memory that helps
me comprehend the world around me. Creating images lets me show exactly how I
feel or think. There’s no thought to it, there just is.
I am a very imaginative person. I would like to
think the way I perceive the world could be viewed as
extremely unique. I like to appreciate the little things in life for what they are. I feel that
every action deserves the right amount of
attention. Every experience is important
in its own way, make the most of what you have. I feel that even the most simple and
common action should be analyzed. The more I
tend to ask question about the things
around me , the more my imagination grows and allows me to see
things differently.
One problem I face with the way I think is I sometimes try to focus on the more abstract and imaginary ideas than the practical things in my life. This problem usually ends up with me having a large quantity of
responsibilities to deal with all at once because how long I usually procrastinate doing things I think are good at the time but end up
leaving me behind. One of my biggest fears is that one day I’ll look back and regret how much time has passed me by. This is what usually
causes me to focus on things that aren’t necessarily practical ending up with me stressed out because I have too many things on my mind to
deal with.
Although wasting my time imaginary ideas is one of my biggest flaws, I like to think it is also one of
my best qualities. My mind is a giant canvas, that is only getting bigger!
When I lay down and close my eyes, my mind is at peace. My imagination is my happy place full of
strange shapes, off colored objects, crazy creatures, and gorgeous settings. Everything is how I
imagine it, there are no limits to anything and it feels freeing.
All of my thoughts make for a wonderful world in which I have the ability to express through
imagery.
