DED GEOTECHNICAL PROJECT REPORTWeekly Status Report

For week ending 05/17/2013

ACCOMPLISHED TASKS

Short summary of the geotechnical drilling activity are explained in the next paragraph. The details of project progress are displayed in the some attached tables. The reports are also included HSE Reports and LAPI Report.

Positioning and Land Clearing Permit Status

At Port Offshore area total 21 (twenty one) points of investigation have been staked out until this week, 16 (sixteen) points completed drilling have been positioned as final (as built).

At Port Onshore area total 25 (twenty five) points until this week is 17 points completed whether at main site area previous is 117 (one hundred and seventeen) points have been done to staked out and 12 (twelve) points completed drilling.

Totally 33 (thirty three) points of investigation at main site area identified having land ownership problem.

25 Land Clearing Permit have been submitted to Environmental Department. Previous 10 (ten) submitted land clearing permit have not been authorized yet.

The detail status staked out and as built points and Land Clearing Permit Status are displayed in the table.

Geotechnical Drilling Activities

There are 3 (three) points of investigation only have been completed during this week period. 1 (onw) CBS drilling have completed at Main Site Elevated Terrain area. 1 CBS point + common piezometer installation and 1 (one) Pumping Well have completed at RSF area.

3 (three) CBS rigs have been operating at Main Site Area. 1(one) rig was able to complete drilling and continue to another point. The progress of another 2 (two) rigs were slow due to the limited water supply so that they have to extend the polypipe to reach another reliable water supply.

1 (one) additional CBS rig to be operated at Main Site Area has been mobilized from RSF Area by sling load (chopper). Initially this rig was placed at CBS1021, but the driller decide to move to CBS1006, because CBS1021 need to be flatten (sloping terrain).

Mobilization and Setup of CPT and CPTu rigs (THCP and HCP1) were running slowly because the main access road was still blocked so that moving were conducted manually by winching and manual lifting without supporting truck and vehicle. Otherwise, the road access condition to CPT8004 was being muddy or swampy due to rainy days, so that the rig (THCP) was getting trapped in such road conditions.

CPTu drilling at port offshore <2 m are still running, while preparation for CPTu drilling at port offshore >2m are still continuing

1 (one) pumping well (PT6002HO40) at RSF area have been completed. The rig continued to move to PT6002Pz40 to drill and install selective piezometer.

Sample and Sample Handling

Totally 46 (fourty six) samples have been retrieved from boreholes for this week periods. It were included: 25 (twenty five) NMC samples and 21 (twenty one) DS samples.

Second batch of UDS Sample have been preparing to be delivered.

Borelogs Report

Totally 37 (thirty seven) borelogs (R0) have been produced from the drilling data of completed investigation points (43). Those R0 will be continued to be processed based on the revision and considered as final by EGIS. There no additional final borelog within this week.

To speed up the processing and checking quality of data, the manpower will added within next 2 weeks.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES

Positioning and Land Clearing Permit

To solve the problem of existing access road blocked by land owner at port onshore area, alternative access road will be opened and supported by excavator which will arrive at site this week. The excavator will be used also to prepare the access road to another point of investigations of priority 2 which are located close to the port onshore area.

Stake out of investigation points will be continued at Main Site Elevated Terrain and Main Site Plain area. 1 (one) topographic team will conduct final coordinate positioning (as built) at RSF. The team also staked out the remaining points and selective piezometer points which were issued this week.

Preparation of Drill pad an access road at Main Site Area especially at sloped terrain will be supported by excavator this week. To speed up the progress of land clearing, drill pad preparation, and moving time, 2 (two) additional team (manpower) will be prepared and started to work this week.

Land clearing and preparing the access road to the investigation points including the bridges construction which will connect JIRA5 to JIRA6 will be started at RSF area next week. At Least 15 casual will be employed for this job.

Geotechnical Drilling Activities

Totally 6 (six) drilling rigs will be operated at Main Elevated Terrain area. At Least 3 (three) CBS at will be targeted to be finished within next week. 3 (three) other CBS will be targeted to be completed within next 2 weeks. TH6 will be scheduled to drill Pumping Well and targeted to complete 1 pumping well+2 piezometer within next 2 weeks. 1 (One) additional CBH rigs from RSF will be targeted to be mobilized and start to drill CBH points.

At Port Onshore, 2 (two) CPT points and 2 (two) CPTu points will be targeted to be completed within next 2 weeks. These 2 (two) CPTu points will be the last CPTu points at Port Onshore area. CPTu rig will continue to drill CPTu points of priority 2 at Main Site Area.

1 (one) CBH point will be targeted to be finished within next 2 week at RSF area. The rig will continue to be mobilized to Main Site Elevated Terrain area. PT6002 consisted of 2 pumping wells and 4 selective piezometers will be targeted to be completed within next 2 weeks. 2 (two) hydrogeology rigs will be kept to continue hydrogeology drilling at RSF area.

Detail progress and 2 weeks schedule prediction (plan) are displayed in the table and progress map

ISSUES/RISK IDENTIFIED

Problems on land claim of main access road to JIRA5 have not solved yet. This will becoming issues of safety and security due to limited support to this area, because:

There are no vehicles available. In case there are emergencies situations the only supports are using chopper which have limited time schedules.

Radio Communication is also critical issues. Communication still can not done smoothly.

Problems on land claim of main access road to JIRA5 also impact on the drilling progress because supporting material and spare parts can be done only by chopper which have limited and tight schedule. Mobilization to point of investigations is also limited due to unavailable supporting vehicles in the field.

Environmental staffs in charge in the field for Land Clearing permit didn’t have the same procedures, so that the time taken for issuing authorization will be longer.
