WELCOME BACKWelcome back for 2011. We hope you all enjoyed a fabulous festive season with your family and friends.

Although it might seem as though we’ve only just packed away the christmas tree, Easter is only just arond the corner and we’ve already noticed the hot cross buns on the supermarket shelves. Make sure you take note of our Easter operating hours on the back of this newsletter and book in advance to look your best for the Easter bunny!

AUTUMN COLOUR TRENDSIt’s not only the leaves that change colour in Autumn! Not all of us can pull off that beach blonde look year round, so now’s the time to start thinking about that change in colour before the chilly season starts to kick-in. Why not consider one of our three favourite autumn colour trends below?

GET TO KNOW THE TEAMHow long have you been at S*kapade and what is it that you enjoy most about the salon?

Melonie: I have been here forever! All the way back to the days when it only had 1 employee. Faces have come and gone but I must say that the current team is incredible. I still enjoy coming to work each day which is a compliment to our team after 23 years of hairdressing.

Carly: I have been with Melonie at S*kapade for 8 years now and really enjoy helping to build our great team and support each and every one of them achieve their goals.

Kate: I started working here back in 2003 at age 15 and 8 years later I still enjoy learning new techniques and skills amongst a great team and clientele.

Danielle: Time has flown but I have been at S*kapade for 4 and a half years now. I love making my clients feel great about themselves as well as being surrounded by our team which is more like a second family.

Mollie-Anne: It’s been 2 years now and I am really enjoying the great atmosphere created by the team and our clients.

Jammie-Lee: I’ve been at S*kapade for 3 and a half years now and the mentorship I receive from Melonie and the team allows me to continuously grow as a stylist and I have made some great friends.

Kylie: Since starting work at S*kapade 2 years ago I have enjoyed being able to work in such a social environment with both our clientele and team.

Lauren: I started working here at age 13 and after 7 years I still really enjoy meeting new clients and working alongside a team of friends.

Charlotte: I think what I have enjoyed the most over my last 3 years at S*kapade would be how fun and comfortable the working environment is. I’m just so happy to be a part of it!

Chocolate BrownsDefinitely on-trend this season, rich chocolate browns with a few subtle highlights to add warmth, suits most skin tones and is easy to maintain and accessorise with any wardrobe.

Subtle Caramel HighlightsOur summer tan might be slowly fading away but our hair doesn’t have to. A softer alternative to that white, blonde look from summer, these warm caramel tones scream bronzed goddess. Great for those of us with darker eyebrows.

BalyageThis hot celebrity trend sees gradual colour transition extend the full length of your hair by ever so slightly lightening your ends so that your roots seem slightly deeper. Its a great colour for those who want more blonde without the constant up-keep.
