Our theater students have been preparing for a performance of Little Shop of Horrors. The students will be performing this show April 26 to 28. I hope you will buy a ticket at https://titantheatertroupe.seatyourself.biz to be entertained and to support these students.

Principal’s Student Advisory Board Meeting May 1

Any student who applied to be part of the Principal’s Advisory Board and any current/former Advisory Board members should plan on attending a meeting right after school on May 1 in the Principal’s conference room. The meeting should be less than an hour.

Attention Seniors Looking to Work in the Skilled Trades after High School

The Macomb Intermediate School District is hosting a two-part event for seniors, staying local after graduation, that are interested in the skilled trades and are looking for a company to partner with who offer tuition reimbursement, an apprenticeship program, or have a strong history of on the job training with company advancement. Please see the attached flier, application, and permission slip/media release forms. The two-part event consists of a “boot camp” on May 1 followed by an employer meets student event on May 11.

The annual UCS Career Focus Luncheon

Nearly 2,000 UCS sixth graders will be meeting May 1-2 for the annual Career Focus Luncheon, being sponsored by the UCS Foundation for Educational Excellence, in partnership with Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce. It will provide an opportunity for the district's sixth graders, their teachers and principals to meet with local business and community leaders. As members of the Graduating Class of 2025, it will also acquaint students with the variety of career opportunities which exist.

Patricia Lopez, President of Rose-A-Lee Technologies will provide the keynote address.

Business leaders will sponsor the children's participation, by either reserving an entire table of 10 as a corporate sponsor or by purchasing individual sponsorships. If parents who are also local business owners wish to participate, they can contact the UCS Foundation at 797-6953 or email at [email protected].

SENIOR ALL NIGHT PARTY

Please note that the date for the Senior All Night Party has been changed from Saturday, June 8 to Sunday, June 9th, 2019 because of the change in the graduation date. The time remains the same from 11:00pm-4:00am.!!
