Mrs. O’Connell’s Newsletter Week of February 6-10th.

Hello, We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Tuesday February 14th. Our class will be exchanging Valentines. I will attach a class name list. We will be decorating mailboxes for the students to place their Valentine’s cards in. Please remember we are a nut free classroom. We are going to do some STEAM activities with conversation hearts if anyone can send some in please email me.Thank you in advance.

This week in School:ELA: This week we are reading about the Civil War.Vocabulary: Wordly Wise lesson nine.Spelling: Test on Friday. Writing: We will be writing about Henry’s Freedom box and the Civil War.The choice probe is due on Friday. Math: We are learning how to multiply by scaling fractions. We will continue to practice multiplying and dividing fraction word problems.Social Studies: We are learning about the Civil War.States and capitals for the weekMonday: VirginiaTuesday: WashingtonWednesday: West VirginiaThursday: WisconsinFriday: WyomingScience: We are finishing up our unit on Genetics. We will have a Genetics test on Thursday.

Math: multiplying and dividing fraction practice.

Moby Max- 30 minutes by Friday.

Science: Study for Genetics test.
