were Jacob Lindsey (?), Thomas Lindsey, Edward

Lindsey, and John Neil. Note: Abraham was listed as

Sr. in 1792 even though there were no other Abraham

Lindsey’s listed as owning land or paying a poll. This

was the only time Abraham was listed as Sr.

Because Abraham Lindsey was listed as living on

Pistol Creek, there is an inference that another

Abraham Lindsey lived in Wilkes Co. who was

eligible, but who did not enter. He must have been

born by 1784, and he did not live on Pistol Creek.

(See reference #209.)

Jacob’s birthdate was listed as 18 June 1801. The

listing appears on a page with other children who were

not those of Jacob Lindsey, Jr. It is believed that these

were children of John Lindsey (b. 1760 – 1770), who

was a likely brother of Jacob Lindsey, Jr. This is John

Jacob Lindsey Sr. and Jacob Jr. were also listed in

James Lindsey did not participate. Reference #244,

eligible men were made in 1803 and 1804, so James

would not have been included if he was still underage.

This indicates that James Lindsey turned 21 in 1805.
