The motorways A2, A10 and A11 are all close to the Gerlitzen. There are over 3,300 parking spaces available for our guests, of which 1,800 are directly at the piste.

You can also reach us quickly and comfortably with public transport. The Annenheim train station is located directly at the Kanzelbahn valley lift station and the free ski bus travels around Lake Ossiacher See and from the town of Villach. Arriving by aeroplane is also simple; Klagenfurt Airport is only 25 minutes from the Gerlitzen – many accommodation establishments offer transfers.

GENERAL INFORMATION

It’s always hard at the beginning – but not on the Gerlitzen. In one of the three large practice areas on the mountain with the Kids’ Land and Snow Bear Land, learning is easy and also great fun. The specially trained and certified children’s ski instructors at the Gerlitzen Ski and Snowboard School make sure of that. Our mascot, the Gerlitzen “Bino Bear”, sings, dances and helps the children while their parents glide over the pistes.

1. Discounts

1a. Child discounts: For children born between 2001 and 2009. This must be proven by means of a valid photo ID. Children under the age of 6 under parental supervision go free, provided they sit on a parent‘s lap and do not take up a separate seat or T-bar. All other children under the age of 6 require a Bambini ticket. Further information and tickets are available at the cash desk.

1b. Youth discounts: For teenagers born between 1997 and 2000. This must be proven by means of a valid photo ID card.

1c. Student discounts: For day tickets only. For students up to their 27th birthday (up to and including students born in 1989) with a valid student ID card (with photo).

1d. Senior discounts: For persons born in 1950 or before. This must be proven by means of a valid photo ID card.

1e. People with 60% disability or higher are charged the child’s price according to the valid price list for day and multi-day tickets (excluding single rides and points tickets) upon showing valid ID.

1f. Further discounts: State-certified ski instructors and certified regional ski instructors are granted the child’s price for day tickets upon showing valid ID.

2. Flexible tickets: Only valid during the winter season 2015/16.

3. Extra day: Only valid once in direct follow-up to the 6-day ski pass.

4. Data carriers/ski passes: Depending on the ticket type, ski passes are issued on contact-free single use tickets or reusable key cards. An additional price of € 5.00 is charged as a deposit on the key card. The € 5.00 is refunded upon the return of the undamaged key card.

5. Family discounts – every third child in a family goes free: The discount can strictly only be made upon showing official proof that the child is a member of the family as well as showing a valid identity card which shows the age of the children belonging to the family (born between 2001 and 2009).

6. Reimbursements: A ski pass can only be reimbursed in the case of a sports accident or illness and solely for the injured or ill person when the ski pass is immediately handed in to one of the issuing points. Reimbursement is paid in cash minus a processing fee of € 3.00. Days of usage are the days from the issue of the ski pass to its deposit at the issuing point. Should the ski pass be deposited before 10am, this day will not be charged. Only medical reports issued by a doctor from the Villach district or a regional hospital will be accepted and are to be presented for each reimbursement. No reimbursement can be granted for family members who depart prematurely with the injured person. There are separate rulings for season tickets which can be read on the announcement boards near the cash desks. Bad weather, risk of avalanches, unexpected or premature departure, interruptions in operation, stoppage of individual services due to weather or operating conditions, closure of ski runs, limited piste quality due to fresh snow, feeder services, etc. do not qualify as claims for price reductions, reimbursement or extension of the already issued ski pass. No reimbursements are provided for full day, half-day and three-hour tickets.

7. Half days can only be used on the first day.

8. Photographic recording: With the purchase of a ticket, the customer agrees to person-related photographic recording and storage at the ticket issuing and access points (turnstiles). The data are used for monitoring purposes to avoid misuse of the ticket.

9. General terms: Day tickets and multi-day ski passes can be bought in advance from 3pm on the previous day. Only valid ski passes and lift tickets as well as the touring ticket entitle the holders to use our pistes and our facilities. Visitors purchasing a ski pass, a lift ticket or a touring ticket must comply with the General Terms and Conditions and other regulations. Ski passes for several days are only valid on consecutive days. Ski passes that have been purchased and activated cannot be returned. Lost and forgotten ski lift tickets will not be reimbursed. Ski lift tickets are not transferable and must be shown without fail to the ticket inspectors within the control zones. Ticket control is carried out by scanning or viewing, according to the respective system. Misuse is liable to prosecution and will result in the immediate revocation of the ski ticket and the exclusion from transportation. A fine of € 43.50 and the fee for a day ticket will be charged and the incident will be reported to the police. The FIS rules apply in the whole ski area and are to be observed. The regulations and instructions of the cable car and ski slope personnel as well as the instructions of the medical and security staff on the ski runs are to be observed. The non-observance of the instructions and a gross violation of the FIS rules will result in the revocation of ski passes and the exclusion from transportation. Ski touring is not permitted on any pistes in the ski region, with the exception of the marked area on the left edge of the Klösterle ski run (only for tourers who hold a valid touring ticket). Valid ski passes entitle the holders to use the cable cars and lifts and to use marked pistes during the opening hours of the facility. The General Terms of Transportation and the opening hours of the cable cars and lifts as well as the pistes are posted at the respective stations and can vary from lift to lift. It is prohibited and extremely dangerous to ski or walk on the pistes after closing time as piste preparation work is carried out and snow-making machines are in operation at this time. In the off-peak season or in case of insufficient amounts of snow you must expect a limited number of operating lifts and open pistes. Marked runs: posts, round signs and spherical trail markers all denote safe and secured pistes. Unmarked and unprepared pistes and ski routes are not regarded as pistes. Use at your own risk. Skiing through wooded areas is liable to prosecution according to forestry law. Those violating these regulations will be revoked of their ski passes.

All ski lift tickets are activated for only one ascent with the Kanzelbahn cable car a day. A further intended ascent with the Kanzelbahn cable car is to be reported to our lift or cash desk staff at the top station of the Kanzelbahn cable car prior to the descent with the Kanzelbahn cable car at the latest.
