This is the opening shot to the music video Get Hyper by Driodeka. A tiny bit of background information about Driodeka is he lives in London with his parents still and has made this music video for the song which has now become the official music video. Previously Get Hyper had no official music video it was just the song but now this music video is the official one. The shot type is a long shot of the apartment block and smaller housing to the right. The Volkswagen Polo on the road might be product placement and they were paid to include that car in the shot by Volkswagen as a type of advertising.

This is the second shot, it shows the performer PSI dancing in a random place near a stranger. The music here is digetic so the music is being played off the boom box he is carrying around. The shot type is a medium/long shot at eye height.

This is a shot through what appears to be either an actual CCTV camera or it’s a editing effect. The name of the song Get Hyper has comparisons with what the performers are doing, and that is just going hyper/crazy. This is a really unique shot looking down on the 3 men in what appears to be a cinema. There is a sense of juxtaposition because in a cinema you are normally quiet not dancing around.

This is again reiterating the point of get hyper it’s a young boy that is in a sumo suit doing a silly dance. This shot is in a different quality to the other perhaps someone else filmed this and they have used it or it’s a editing effect. So far all the shots have been similar medium/long.

This is much like the opening shot, the lenses catching as much as possible with the performers in the middle, again the camera would probably be in a tripod here at eye height. The video is very humorous with people dancing in random locations like an ice rink, the video really does question what is conventional and what is unconventional in a music video.

This is a shot of the performer(PSI) This is the first close up shot, the camera is tilting up making the artist look bigger. The editing here is the Hyper on the screen, this again reiterates the lyrics being sung and the name of the song.

This is another mean of showing Get Hyper, editing has been used to present it, lyrics have and now it’s being written. The repetition of visual and hearing of the phrase ‘Get Hyper’ must get the audience really involved when listening to the song, making you feel like you just want to dance and join in.

This is again another close up of the performer PSI. The camera is just below eye line height. This could arguably be a example of Sven Carlson’s Modern Mythical Embodiment there idea of Commercial Exhibitionist where the performer is creating an overall image and is trying to sell them self.

The final shot is of two people dancing outside 10 downing street which looks like carbaord cut out of David Cameron. The final shot is very humorous as it might be suggesting that Cameron needs to get hyper like everyone else instead of being serious.
