This information serves as a guide for the selection of courses at the College of DuPage for students transferring with a major in Economics to one of Illinois’ public universities. It is assumed that students will be working with a full time member of the Economics and/or Counseling faculty in selecting their courses. Students are responsible for contacting the transfer university to verify requirements and transfer of courses. This guide considered only courses relevant to transferring with a major in Economics. All graduates of the College of Arts (which included Economics) must satisfy a foreign

language graduation requirement. The requirement may be met by completion of three

years of one foreign language in high school or completion of the second semesters or

higher of college-level foreign language with a grade of passing.

While not a requirement, the following two courses are suggested:
