A VOCATION VIEW-If we really believe in
something it does not seem to be a sacrifice to give up
everything else to pursue that one dream. Jesus asks
the same as any great leader…total dedication; but He
promises rewards no one else can promise, “You will
then have treasure in Heaven.” Follow the call of
Christ as a priest, sister, brother or deacon. Call or
email Father Andrew Merrick at 225-336-8778,
[email protected], or visit
www.diobr.org/vocations.

for all. It will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 from

Thinking about adopting? Catholic
Charities has been serving all faiths
since 1964 with domestic and
International adoption, crisis pregnancy, and post
adoption services. The only Catholic agency providing
adoption services in this Diocese. Go to
www.adoptbatonrouge.com or call 225.336.8708 for
more information.
Through the Bishop’s Annual, Bishop Michael G.
Duca continues decades of ministry support in the
Diocese of Baton Rouge, connecting generous
parishioners and worthy diocesan programs that
directly serve those in need. Such a vast effort invites
a commitment on the part of many, blessing thousands
of our neighbors and friends, as we follow the example
of Jesus Christ in search of the hurting and lost.
Together, we Follow the Shepherd’s Lead, and
respectfully ask you to do your part. “What man among you, having a hundred sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the one until he finds it” (LK 15:4)?
This year, to honor the arrival of our new spiritual
shepherd, you may decide to increase your gift in
support of the BAA. With a gift of at least $500,
become a member of The Crosier Society. Consider
membership in the Bishop Ott Society with a gift
totaling $1,000 or more. Or, with the generous gift of
at least $5,000 become a charter member of The Shepherd’s Society.
As you pray about your participation, the detailed
information Bishop Duca recently sent to you will
help answer your questions and refine your decisions.
If you’ve yet to receive your packet, please email the
Office of Stewardship, [email protected], or call
(225) 336-8790. We will make sure you receive this
year’s BAA information right away. Visit
www.baabr.org, and discover the ways you and your
fellow Catholic parishioners serve others and meet
needs. As a Catholic Church, we help fund vital work
throughout the capitol region.
