How to set up your This guide will show you how to set up your EverDrive GBA X5 for the first time. Before you begin, you will need a micro SD card and a PC or Mac with a SD card reader. 1: Format your micro SD card The first thing you need to do is format your micro SD card. To do this using Windows 10: Click on the Windows Key. Type in “File Explorer”. Open File Explorer. Right click on your SD card and select ‘Format’. Make sure the ‘FAT32’ File System is selected. Click on ‘Start’ and then ‘OK’ to confirm and begin the process. WARNING: Formatting will erase ALL data previously stored on the card. 2: Download the OS Open your web browser and visit the page: http://krikzz.com/pub/support/everdrive-gba/OS/ Download the most recent OS version. Once the file has finished downloading, open the compressed file and copy the GBASYS folder to your micro SD card. © 2018 Retro Game Store Australia 3: Add your ROMs Now it is time to add your ROM files. Create a new folder in the root directory of your SD card (Do not do this in the GBASYS folder). The EverDrive GBA X5 has full directory support so it doesn’t matter what you name this folder. You can even create multiple directories to organise your ROM files if preferred. Your micro SD Card is now ready. Safely eject the micro SD card by right clicking the drive icon in File Explorer and selecting ‘Eject’. 4: Insert the micro SD Card You can now insert the micro SD card into the slot on top of the EverDrive cartridge. The micro SD card's front label should be facing the same way as the front of the cartridge, with the gold contacts to the back. WARNING: Never remove the micro SD card while the Everdrive is in the GBA system and the power is on. GBA X5
