Third Sunday of Lent
PREPARATION FOR WORSHIP
“I saw that God was everything that is good and encouraging.
God is our clothing that wraps, clasps, and encloses us, so as never to leave us.
God showed me in my palm
A little thing: round as a ball, about the size of a hazelnut.
I looked at it with the eye of my understanding
And asked myself: ‘What is this thing?’
And I was answered: ‘It is everything that is created.’
I wondered how it could survive, since it seemed so little.
It could suddenly disintegrate into nothing.
The answer came: ‘It endures and will ever endure,
Because God loves it.’
And so everything has being because of God’s love.”

THANK YOU
Avoiding the snowstorm on Monday, the Grace bus delivered 700 food-packs
to Lynbrook Elementary School. This was possible through the grace of God
and the generous work and support of our congregation and church staff, and
“Meet-Up” group members and visitors. The food-packs will be distributed
on weekends to children who receive subsidized lunches. The teachers and
staff at Lynbrook are very grateful for our ongoing assistance in their
program. Thanks to all who participated in this portion of the Lord’s work.
RED HYMNALS
The beloved red hymnals have been removed from the racks underneath the
pews where they have rested for quite a few years. To honor those to whom
they were dedicated, we invite you to take a copy that was dedicated to
someone you love and keep it for your own. We have a list of dedications in
the office for your convenience. Stop by or e-mail [email protected].
Greeters today are Members of the E-Team.
If you would like to participate in this church’s Evangelism, please
come to a meeting today after church, at 11:45 a.m., in the Library.
The flowers in the sanctuary today
were given by Rob and Barb Dickman.
