thinkyoung presentation
DESCRIPTION
Presentation of the ThinkYoung think tank, Brussels based non-profit organisation that lobby for young people in Europe.TRANSCRIPT
There are 69 million Europeans under the age of 30 – that is 15% of the total
EU population. We are the next European generation. But what do
young people think about the future of their Europe? Nobody ever asks this question. Policy-makers are used to
answering it for us.
That is why ThinkYoung exists.
We lobby for young people
ThinkYoung was created in 2007, as a platform to provide
opportunities for young Europeans to
meet, talk, share their thoughts and
experiences; in order to be a think tank to make young voices heard in the world of EU affairs.
Our aim…
Our vision…
…is to make Brussels aware of what young people think.
…is to make Europe ThinkYoung!

CONFERENCES DOCUMENTARIES
We periodically run pan-
European surveys about
critical issues faced by
politicians and governments
in Europe affecting the
young generation. The
survey results are presented
online and at conferences
with the purpose of voicing
young European opinions.
We are constantly on the
lookout for young people's
essays/articles/research
papers about Europe to
publish on our website and
present at our conferences.
Check out
www.thinkyoung.eu for
some examples!
ThinkYoung works as
knowledge partners for
conferences all around
Europe, holding panel
discussions, presenting our
surveys and organizing
workshops.
To deepen and spread
knowledge and understanding of
different European youth
cultures, and to highlight
traditions, issues and events,
ThinkYoung portrays exciting
and moving stories in short
documentaries shot by young
professional filmmakers.
ThinkYoung’s latest survey was carried out
with the support of the European Business
Summit and in collaboration with Insead
Business School, the Federation of Belgian
Enterprises and Accenture on a select group of
young promising future leaders concerning
their view on the future of Europe. The aim
was to provide concrete recommendations to
European decision makers and to be able to
compare the opinions of the young and the
older generation.
