Logic is what tells you what makes sense. Logic is what tells you that if youre here you cant be in the supermarket, unless for some reason you live in the supermarket. Crime example. Arrange to meeting someone example. Logic is the math of life. Its the everyday science of thinking. What good is logic? Well, logic teaches you which ideas contradict each other. It tells you what makes sense and what doesnt. It builds the mental habit of thinking in an orderly way, and it helps you to discover what the truth is. We need logic to test our authorities. Logic can also add face too. Jesus was a black belt in logic. Christian faith its not anti-logic, its pro-logic. If the resurrection of Jesus from the death didnt happened, then Christian faith its untrue and meaningless (Corinthians). If this event didnt happened (resurrection) then it doesnt matter how you feel or what you need. The hard concrete of reality doesnt care and BLABLAOn the other hand if it did happened, if the resurrection is true, then what I want to do or feel or be doesnt make it untrue, it would be still be true even if I wasnt aware of that or refused it for some reason.As we learn to think well we need to learn how to handle ideas and this means understanding how we can talk about ideas, even political or religious ideas without becoming belligerent or overly defensive.
