Thinking about filing for bankruptcy?

im in debt with some credit cards, banks,a car that was filed in court where thee creditors were granted i also have medical bills i want to file for bankruptcy and get a fresh start i tried looking in my credit report but it doesn't show past 7 years will i need to get those bills too ?what is the best way to file ? i live in Virginia please help
