What You NeedO Grouping: PairsO Materials: Reflection and debriefing
questions (included in PPT); writing supplies.
Objectives1. To develop thinking skills.2. To use communication and
listening skills.3. To develop oral language
skills.4. To structure reflection about
specific topics.
Procedures1. A question is posed.2. Individuals THINK about the question and
jots down a few thoughts, completes a graphic organizer, or uses some other way of capturing the thinking in writing.
3. Each student PAIRS with a partner. 4. Partners SHARE their
thinking/reflection/writing.5. Pairs can then partner with another pair to
expand the sharing.6. Pairs/Groups can share out and their ideas
recorded to build a whole class record.
