Thesis: Step by Step

1. Find the topic: The topic is the subject that you are writing about.

2. Take a position: The position is your opinion about the subject you are writing about. What do you think about the topic?

3. Establish your rationale: The rationale is your reason or justification for

holding that position or opinion. Why is the position true? Remember! For now, stick with the RULE OF THREE.
