Microchannel freecooling

Thermokey has taken part to Unes U2 sales point in Parma, a project for the production of an extra green supermarket, where the Ecold technology has evolved itself in order to use in the food refrigeration system and in the air conditioning system only natural gas or with a very low GWP. The planning of this system also took into consideration all possible climate conditions making its installation not only possible, but also convenient from an energetic point of view, in any geographical condition also where the external temperatures exceed +50 °C. Thanks to the new employed raw materials Thermokey's air-cooled condensers are microchannel type and are able to reduce refrigerant charge, dimensions and weights of about 30%. The installed fans and the specific cowlings reduce the consumption of 20% and the noise level of 6dBA compared to those commonly used. The output of the food refrigeration plant, syncronized with the air conditioning system, will be improved thanks to the combined use of fanmotors with inverter, electronic valves, electronic fans, but mostly thanks to the introduction of very recent technical solutions such as the use of refrigerants as R1234ze and carbon dioxide and thanks to the use of microchannel Thermokey's condensers particularly suitable to the use with the new low GWP refrigerants.

Thermokey has designed and supplied a specific air-cooled heat exchanger used in an innovative installation in the rational energy consumption. The refrigeration plant, which cools down food, uses an integrated system in order to totally recover the heat. Thanks to Thermokey's heat exchangers, the multi-porpose refrigeration plant can operate simultaneously to serve the following systems: 1) food refrigeration system (refrigerator aisles, TN and BT cold rooms) 2) winter heating system and air blades 3) summer air-conditioning system 4) water and sanitary system

Food freezing Bushehr, Iran 3 Blast Freezer Unit Coolers for NH3

ThermoKey has supplied 3 industrial Blast Freezer Unit Coolers for NH3 to an installer in Busher, Iran. These Unit Coolers have highly resistant structural casing and stainless steel heat exchangers for preservation and fastfreezing of food. The plant will be able to freeze 40 tons of fish per day.

Nestlè-Davigel Houdebine SAS project Industrial Cubic Unit Coolers, Dual Flow, Blast Freezers

ThermoKey Unit Coolers will ensure the proper temperature to the French company in the various manufacturing and fresh food freezing processes. The Industrial Cubic Unit Coolers will be used in the product preservation cells, the Industrial Dual Flow in the processing areas (where their low-noise level ensures an adequate environment for workers) while the Blast Freezers will be used for temperature reduction of food products, to assure proper preservation.

Ingersoll Rand Project Khoms, Libia 18 Dry Coolers V-Type adiabatic and self-cleaning

The project consists in a Turbogas Power Plant, with a 525 Mwe net production capacity, which will supply power to the Libyan Grid. ThermoKey will supply VType Industrial Dry Coolers, located inside a closed water cooling system, and will be used to cool down the water that flows through the shell & tube coolers - which in turn - cool down both gas and oil for the three compressors. The main fuel will be Natural Gas and Light Distilled Oil for back up. Desalinated water will be the main source for both production of de-mineralized water and water for firefighting; it will be supplied by the existing plant.

An important Italian company is producing a multifunctional palace with offices, a hotel and a shopping centre in Almaty, Kazakhstan, commissioning ThermoKey to produce the Dry Coolers to combine with water/water refrigerators for civil and technological uses. The complex is in the centre of Almaty City, therefore the supplied units are equipped with EC brushless fans which are highly efficient and guarantee a long durability, also equipped with an integrated electronic panel. The supplied units are of two types: the V-type (model JWH1390) with a capacity of 1560 kW are used for the commercial air-conditioning, whereas the table type (model WH2390) with a capacity of 2880 kW are used for the industrial consumption of the palace such as motors and compressors.

The configured system meets the requirements of reliability and resistance to corrosion, characteristics of this type of application for the marine environment. The Dry Cooler will cool down the 2 low and high temperature circuits of a 620 kW CHP co-generation system at the service of the power plant. Features: Reliability in time: Dry cooler with a stainless steel 304 casing and heat exchange coil with copper tubes and fins with a category C5I (ISO12944) anti-corrosive treatment for durability above 15 years in particularly aggressive marine environments. Power efficiency and silent operation mode 10 1000mm diameter fans which, thanks to their toothed profile and in compliance with the directive “Energy related Products” (ErP 2015), are highly efficient and low noise. Effectiveness: Electric panel equipped with a new regulation system designed to optimize the performance of the engine.


ORC plants, geothermic area of Umurlu, Turkey 2 Dry Coolers, model GL2490CNYVQZS

Thermokey confirms its presence in the power generation plant market, where alternative, renewable energy is employed. Indeed, two Dry Coolers (model GL2490CNYVQZS) will be used in the geothermic area of Umurlu, south-west Turkey, to cool down the turbines of two ORC plants, for an overall 24 MW. The dry coolers are equipped with special fans, a 180 micron powder coated casing and a stainless steel finned pack heat exchanger, to withstand environments where hydrogen sulfide is present.

Offshore Wind farm, North of Europe 19 turbo line condensers model KH1150

The wind farm and substation includes 78 wind turbines with a total capacity of 312 MW. It will be producing green electricity for around 320,000 households every year. NEED: Thermokey has supplied to an offshore wind farm (a wind power project) in the north of Europe. SOLUTION: 19 turbo line condensers model KH1150, which are completely (fins, tubes, casing etc.) in stainless steel 316L and equipped with C5M fans.

Two ThermoKey Dry Coolers will be installed in Saudi Arabia to cool down a powerful Cummings engine, used in the water desalinization process. These Dry Coolers are equipped with a 120 micron thickness powder-painted casing, specific for particularly aggressive environments, in order to protect the units and maintain a constant efficiency in time. The electrical wiring meets the required oil&gas high standards. The fan motors are tropicalized to ensure the maximum resistance in high humidity environments.

Fornovo gas, Opic Estate of Agbara, Nigeria Dry Cooler V-shape with 6 explosion-proof fans

In the Opic Estate of the Agbara desert area, Nigeria, Fornovo Gas, an important customer of ours, has commissioned us the cooling of a gas compression station consisting of a G3408-LE-SITA 54 (264kW) caterpillar engine and a 3DA300 compressor (225kW). ThermoKey has developed a compact, optimized solution for the cooling of the compressor, aftercooler and jacket circuits in a single unit: a V-shape Dry Cooler with 6 explosion-proof fans Ø910 mm IP55 3G Ex-na T4 II.

The Danieli Group has supplied an iron rolling mill to Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (14,5 mW). ThermoKey has provided a platform of 6 Table Shape Dry Coolers (fan diameter 1250 mm) to cool down auxiliary circuits.
