The Savant Explorer SpeedVac concentratordelivers high-throughput in a compact, user-friendly design. It opens like a clam shell,making it easy to access the chamber to loadand unload your samples.

Primary controls – vacuum level, temperature,heat time, radiant lamp time, run time and vacuumramp – are easily set and monitored on the bright,easy-to-read digital display.

A -50°C cold trap is located just inches away fromthe chamber, maximizing the speed of solventremoval and minimizing evaporation times.

The 6-position Snowflake Rotor holds up to:• (30) shallow-well microplates or• (12) deep-well microplates or• (72) 20 ml scintillation vials or• (90) 16 x 125 mm tubes or• (144) 1 dram vials or• (210) 13 x 100 mm tubes

Our Savant Explorer SpeedVacconcentrator is a high-capacitysystem that can easily accommodatea large number of samples in a widevariety of formats. With multiple rotorsand more than twenty blocks to choosefrom, the Savant Explorer SpeedVacconcentrator supports sample formatsranging from tubes, vials andmicroplates to large-volume flasks.

Rapid, Efficient Solvent EvaporationWith the Savant Explorer SpeedVacconcentrator, solvent removal is fastand efficient. The unit’s 5-liter, -55°Ccold trap is positioned just inchesfrom the chamber. In addition, anexpanded vacuum port and short

vapor path allow rapid removal ofvapors for improved drying and effective handling of difficult-to-remove solvents like dimethyl-sulfoxide (DMSO).

The Savant Explorer SpeedVacconcentrator further accelerates theevaporation rate by maintaining accu-rate chamber temperatures. This pro-vides the added advantage of reduc-ing vapor condensation in the samplechamber, which minimizes contami-nation and cleaning down time.

Dual-format Cold TrapAnother unique and time-saving feature is the dual-format cold trap.

The direct-drain configurationensures convenience and safetyby allowing you to drain solventsdirectly into a waste container at theend of the run. The unit’s hot gasdefrost feature and convenient sidedrain saves time so you can start thenext run immediately.

For certain acids such as HCl, the trapcan be used with a glass flask insertedinto the trap, allowing the solventto collect and freeze directly in theflask. The flask can be removed fordefrosting, and a clean flask can beinserted to begin another run.

Intellitemp Temperature Monitoring The Savant Explorer SpeedVacconcentrator maintains accurate sampletemperatures through its IntellitempTM

monitoring and control system. Thissystem uses one rotor block probeand up to three sample probes tomonitor run conditions. When usedwith the “Auto-Dry” function, theIntellitemp system automatically endsthe run when a pre-set temperature isreached, thereby avoiding overheating.

Anti-bumping design Pre-programmed vacuum ramps andpressure controls minimize samplebumping and cross-contaminationwith volatile solvents or mixtures. In addition, the rotor G-force isoptimized to handle a wide varietyof tubes and protect them againstpotentially harmful effects such as tube breakage.

The two-position Gilson rack rotor fits twoGilson racks of tubes up to 100 mm in height.

All run conditions can be captured, displayed, graphed and saved under a user-defined file name.

Advanced Linking SoftwareThe Savant Explorer SpeedVac concentrator‘sadvanced software allows you to link up to fiveindividual programs and run them sequentially.Simply select the program files in the order thatyou want them to run, and link them from the mainmenu. Then select “Save linked file” and thelinked program is ready to run.
