The Thermo Scientific AnStat-230 sampling and analysis station uses a dedicated immersion probe analyzer mounted into the final tank of a representative, full-flow sampling station (Thermo Scientific SamStat-230). This integrated solution provides simultaneous analysis of up to 20 elements and % solids while providing shift composite samples suitable for metallurgical balance. Elements from Ca to uranium in the periodic table are measured using the X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) technique, a proven and robust technology for plant environments.

Available in a 1, 2, 3 or 4 stage system, the AnStat-230 has been successfully installed in mineral processing plants around the globe, handling flows from 4 to 23,800 m3/hr.

The AnStat-230 has a range of optional features including a pebble screen, distributor and reverse flow sampler, all aimed at reducing the requirement for additional equipment to fulfil these functions. This ultimately reduces head and occupies less space in your plant; which leads to lower installation and maintenance costs.

Features & B

enefits

Benefits of the AnStat-230The AnStat-230 provides high availability and has the lowest head of any available integrated sampling and analysis system. The integration of sampling and analysis reduces the space and elevation requirements, whilst the elemental analysis provides optimum process control. There are optional screening and distribution functions available, with no pumps required.

Advantages of the AnStat-230The sampling is continuous and proportional. This means that • the sample truly reflects process variability, both in terms of the amount sampled and frequently encountered cyclical variations in time. The AnStat-230 requires no pumps or sample transport lines, • minimizing both capital and operating costs. Available in 1 to 4 stages to accommodate a wide range of flow • rates. The low head design supply means large savings in engineering • design and construction costs for new plants. Flow velocity through the system is low which means low wear • and maintenance requirements.Open, visible system can be easily monitored for performance.• Continuous analysis.•

AnStat-230The AnStat-230 incorporates the recent improvements in detector and electronics design. The proven and reliable sampling and analysis station has full digital signal processing. The technology enables the use of spectral processing, which will further improve accuracies in certain applications. Remote diagnostics down to the detector level are possible, allowing superior accuracy and serviceability. The cross cut sampler is now environmentally hardened providing greater reliability with less servicing and the addition of a variable speed mixer ensures a representative sample is achieved. Plus, all system settings and configurations can be made from the central PC or remotely via a modem or network access. All of these factors add up to increased reliability and an even quicker pay-back.

The Thermo Scientific Duplex AnStat-230 dual sampling and analysis stationThe Duplex AnStat-230 is a two stream integrated elemental analyzer and sampling system. It uses a single probe that indexes between two streams, while providing all of the sampling advantages of the Anstat-230. The Duplex AnStat-230 provides a cost effective method of measuring two streams that are in close proximity and has a typical cycle time of 2-3 minutes.A Duplex AnStat-230 can be fed a sample by a continuous sampling station (SamStat-30C) for metallurgical accounting.

Optional Features

Optional features

Pebble screenThis feature, designed specifically for cyclone overflow streams, is placed in the first stage tank to ensure it screens the full flow. The AnStat-230P has an automated dump valve located under the screen and opens when triggered by an adjustable timer, returning any oversize particles to the grinding mill. A float switch is also installed, overriding the timer to open the dump valve when required. Screens with various slot sizes are available to suit different applications.

Outlet distributorsA distributor can be added to the outlet of the AnStat-230 dividing the flow into two or more separate streams (AnStat-230D). Varying percentages of the flow volume can be sent to each of the streams.

Take off point for particle size analysisThe correct reverse flow sampling condition can be engineered into the AnStat-230, providing the ideal sampling conditions for particle size analysis (AnStat-230T). The sample intake of the Thermo Scientific PSM-400MPX particle size monitor can then be attached to provide continuous particle size analysis. This is an ideal solution for cyclone overflow streams where our range of products can be integrated to provide metallurgical sampling, elemental analysis and particle size analysis.

Tank expansion for high froth streamsAn expanded inlet section is available to ensure that high froth streams can be successfully deaerated (AnStat-230F).
