The Pennsylvania National Horse Show (PNHS) is bringing back the Amazing Animal Photo Contest to display photography submitted by non-professionals*. This contest allows animal lovers to test their talents and be showcased at a major event with a chance to win a cash prize!You don’t have to belong to a group, or even own an animal. Every photo must include one or more animals in the following categories:
• Animal Portraits• Animals in Action• Animals and the People who Love them
Each category will have one Adult Winner (19 years or older), and one Junior Winner (18 years or younger) for a total of six (6) winners. Judging to be conducted by a panel that includes a professional photographer.FIRST PLACE WINNERS will be awarded $100, be featured on the PNHS website and appear in the 2017 Official Program (a $500 value).AS A THANK YOU, each contestant will be given one free General Admission Ticket for EACH ENTrY good for one-time use any day of the Show (Oct. 12 - 21). * We define a Professional Photographer as earning more than 50% of their income from Photography.

2017 AMAZING ANIMAL PHOTO CONTEST
The PA National Horse Show Facebook Choice AwardAll submitted photos may also enter the PNHS Facebook Choice Award. The photo with the most “likes” on the PNHS Facebook page will win a VIP package that includes 2 reserved Seat Tickets to the Grand Prix, Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 and an Official Horse Show Program. Check the YES box on entry to be included.
TERMS: A photo may only win ONE award. If a photo wins a Category award, it is not eligible for consideration for the Facebook Choice Award. Facebook voting to end September 29, 2017.

To be displayed at the show, October 12 – 21, 2017• All photos must have been taken by the contestant; open to any age, any skill level (other than Professionals – see below)• Photos to be submitted as 8”x10”, hard copy only; No mounting, mattes or frames to be accepted• Black and White or Color images accepted• Photos submissions to be accompanied by official Entry Form with Entry Tags * attached to the back• No entries by Professional Photographers (anyone who earns more than 50% of their income from Photography)• Adults: 19 years or older (as of Jan. 1, 2017)• Juniors: 18 years or younger (as of Jan. 1, 2017)• A maximum of 3 photos may be submitted• DEADLINE: must be submitted / post-marked by September 5, 2017. • No entries will be returned. Although the photographer retains all rights, photos become the property of PNHS. PNHS reserves the right to use photos in PNHS promotional materials.
