• Thelegislationallowscollegestousetheirprogramallotmentsforotherpurposes,suchasprovidingmorestudentsupport services.

Student-FocusedFunding

• Governorproposesanewallocationformulaandprovides$175milliontoensurenocollegereceiveslessunderthenewformulathanitwouldreceiveundercurrentlaw.

• Theneedforanewfundingformula isexacerbatedbythefactthatcommunitycollegeshavelostnearly $80millioninenrollmentgrowthover thelasttwoyears.
