Introduction, What is Energy?

0 You think that Non-Renewable Energy is only about how much Pollution is causing damage on Earth. Nononono!!! Be carefull, it’s not only what you are thinking about. Energy topic is about:

1. Energy Basics (Part 1)2. Forms of Energy (Part 2)3. Energy Units Basics (Part 3)

0 Ok then let us read more!!

Energy Basics, 10 Definition: Energy is the ability to do Work.Energy as:1. Heat (Natural Gas)2. Electrical3. Nuclear4. Solar Energy

0 Energy is a daily word. Because, for example, If you want to build a building, house, office etc. YOU must! have the power to work and this is called Energy.

Where do you find Energy?0 We can find Energy in our body, food, computers etc.

Heat (Natural Gas)

0 Definition: Natural Gas is like Oil and Coal. Natural Gas has its own history like some others. It’s a Nonrenewable Energy, so that means it takes millions of years to be reproduced. All kinds of plants, small animals or insects etc. that died or decomposed over millions of years, as they decomposed, the small particles that are called Microorganisms sank down to the bottom of the ocean and earth and this forms a thick layer of the Microorganisms. Layer of dead Microorganisms built up over time and the pressure and heat from the earth turned them into petroleum and natural gas. Petroleum makes HEAT on stove when you cook.

Electrical Energy

0 Definition: Electricity is the flow of electrical power or charge. It is a secondary energy source which means that we get it from the conversion of other sources of energy, like coal, natural gas, oil, nuclear power and other natural sources, which are called primary sources.

How does Electricity come to our homes?

Solar Energy

0 Definition: “Solar” is the Latin word for “sun” – and it’s a powerful source of energy. In fact, the sunlight that shines on the Earth in just one hour could meet world energy demand for an entire year!We can use solar power in two different ways: as a heat source, and as an energy source. People have used the sun as a heat source for thousands of years. Families in ancient Greece built their homes to get the most sunlight during the cold winter months.

PV (Photovoltaic) 0 A photovoltaic cell, commonly called a solar cell or PV, is the

technology used to convert solar energy directly into electrical power. A photovoltaic cell is a no mechanical

device usually made from silicon alloys.

Forms of Energy, 2

0 Just like there are different forms of electricity, there are different types of energy too. The two main types of energy are:

1. Kinetic Energy2. Potential Energy

Kinetic, Potential Energy

Kinetic Energy0 Kinetic Energy is energy that is in motion. Moving water

and wind are good examples of kinetic energy. Electricity is also kinetic energy because even though you can't see it happen, electricity involves electrons moving in conductors.

Potential Energy0 Energy is measured in the amount of "work" it

does. Potential Energy is stored energy. Examples of potential energy are oil sitting in a barrel, or water in a lake in the mountains. This energy is referred to as potential energy, because if it were released, it would do a lot of work.

0 Energy can change from one form to another. A good example is a Roller Coaster. When it is on its way up, it is using kinetic energy since the energy is in motion. When it reaches the top it has potential (or stored) energy. When it goes down the hill it is using kinetic energy again.

Non Renewable Energy

0 Definition: Nonrenewable energy sources come out of the ground as liquids, gases, and solids. Crude oil (petroleum) is the only commercial nonrenewable fuel that is naturally in liquid form. Natural gas and propane are normally gases, and coal is a solid.

0 87.3% of Non Renewable Energy people has been using over the world. China and U.S.A has been using between 80 and 90% since the start of Non Renewable Energy invasion. Non Renewable Energy is a very bad and polluting source and in 100 years this will

happen…

Renewable Energy0 Definition: The definition of renewable energy

includes any type of energy generated from natural resources that is infinite or constantly renewed. Examples of renewable energy include solar, wind, and hydropower.

0 About 20% people has been using it. Renewable Energy is a very helpful and not a pollutional Energy. Renewable Energy can help the Earth grow faster and better.
