Standards & procedures In-house testing and quality assurance is offered as standard on our quarter and multi-turn isolation valves. All tests are conducted under one roof, so you can witness testing and sign-off paperwork in a single visit. Qualified on-site engineers are always available to meet any pre-dispatch needs.

Valves can be coated or painted as necessary and packaging can be lightweight or robust depending on storage and transportation requirements.

Our internal documentation department can create bespoke packages in line with customer needs. We offer a wide range of tailored services, including certification, documentation, expediting and third-party inspection.

Our valve stock is specified to all primary FPAL, API and EU standards, including Norsok and API 6a & 6d.

Gate Globe and Check ValvesForged steel gate, globe and check valves/Class 800/1500, ANSI 150 to 2500/carbon steel, low temperature carbon steel, alloy steels (F5, F11 and F22 etc.), stainless steel.

½" to 2" full and reduced bore/flanged, screwed and weld ends. Bolted and welded bonnets/NACE/3.1b/PED.

Cast steel gate, globe, and check valves including SDNR, ANSI 150 to 2500/carbon steel, low temperature carbon steel, alloy steels (F5, F11 and F22 etc.), stainless steel/full and reduced bore/flanged, hub-ended and weld ends. Bolted and welded bonnets/NACE/3.1b / 3.1c/PED.

Butterfly ValvesDouble and triple offset butterfly valves ANSI 150/1500 up to 36". Carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium bronze/wafer and lugged pattern, double flanged also available. We offer soft and metal seated. NACE/fire safe/PED/ATEX/3.1b.

Resilient seated butterfly valves/PN10 and 16/cast iron, steel, aluminium bronze/EPDM, Viton and nitrile liners. Wafer and lugged pattern available.

Wafer Check ValvesWafer pattern dual plate check valves, wafer and lugged pattern (flanged and hub-ended available). ANSI 150-2500 and PN6-16 up to 48" cast iron, low temperature carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium bronze. Soft and metal seated/NACE/PED/ATEX/3.1b/fire safe available.

Actuation & Instrument ServicesSevern Ball Valves offers you the benefits of our experienced Actuation Team. We can offer various brands meeting and designs to meet your requirements.

Using manufacturers sizing software, Severn Ball Valves strives to ensure that both your operations are satisfied whilst ensuring the stringent regulations for North Sea certification, safety and environmental concerns are maintained within our ethos.

ControlsOur control panel, either open or enclosed can combine the full functionality with limit switches, positioners, air sets, partial stroke capabilities, inter-locking, SOV’s and control of accumulator tanks. We can also supply with manual or gear over-ride.

Instrument DBB ValvesWe offer instrumentation DBB valves, LTCS, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and exotic alloys. Flanged, screwed, hub and quill ends. ANSI 150 to 2500. Reduced bore, fire safe, NACE / PED/ ATEX / 3.1 certification.

ActuatorsPneumatic, Hydraulic or Electric actuation complete with full controls for ESDV, SDV & BDV, topside or subsea operations with or without accumulators. Accredited manufacturers stocked in relation to our valve stock profile for fast track options.

Valve servicesEach of our international locations offers bespoke service solutions to ensure isolation valves work effectively and safely throughout their lifetime. We also provide technical services for top-side and subsea mechanical valves, such as: testing, repair, maintenance, overhaul and upgrade activity.

Workshop servicesOur Aberdeen facility is fully equipped with 20T & 10T overhead gantry cranes as well as 8T & 1.5T fork-lifts. Our increased and specialised pressure testing capability covers 0-30,000psi in both gas and hydro to all industry standards and is monitored on remote operated HD CCTV in each of the test bays. Our technical and inspection services are bolstered by lapping & polishing facilities, PMI as well as NDE inspection.

Machine shopFor repairing / renewing spindles, valve seats and other valve components. Includes cutting tools, quick change tool holder, 3 jaw chuck, 4 jaw chuck, coolant system, fixed centre, fixed and sliding steadies, 2 axis digital read-out for cross and long feed, factory fitted safety guard, splash guard, halogen work light, foot brake and standard tool set.

Mobile workforce

Our trained and experienced valve technicians can be deployed on or offshore. Severn Ball Valves can supply personnel to inspect, test and service site valves during shutdowns or maintenance campaigns. For large projects this service can be further supplemented with our mobile workshops.

Mobile workshop: test unit equipmentTest unit for shut-off, control and safety valves

Universal test unit for all common safety, shut-off valves and control valves from ½" to 10" up to Class 1500. It includes a high pressure gas test system 0-300 bar / 4,350 PSI; high pressure liquid test system 0-400 bar / 5,800 PSI; leak detection / classification equipment, including all required consumables; sealing plates and test liquid.

Electric installation

Additional components include a 500Kg JIB crane, air conditioning, robust workbenches, secure storage and office facilities.
