When we follow God’s call and are obedient where He leads us, He is faithful and shows us great and mighty things that only He could do. This trip to Nicaragua was my fourth international mission trip, but my first trip to this country and with Philippi. It was great to see the body of Christ around the globe and see how Christ was at work in that particular country. The people of Nicaragua are hungry for the gospel message, and as the hands and feet of Jesus, we were called to take that message to them. We saw so many people give their lives to Christ, and so many more seeds planted for the gospel. We had opportunities to disciple existing Christians through men’s and women’s Bible studies, as well as Vacation Bible School for children. We were able to meet practical needs and encourage the people there by feeding them, providing medical needs, helping with construction projects and worshipping together. Continue to pray for the people in that area that the gospel will continue to go forth and that they will continue to grow in their faith. I also want to thank Philippi Baptist Church for making it possible for so many of us to go and show Jesus to the Nicaraguan people. Your sacrifice made a huge impact in their lives and for all of eternity! May God bless your faithfulness and generosity. I am also excited to be back and ready to continue to do ministry here at Philippi and in this community. If you are in the adult choir or have thought about joining, we will be starting back to our normal Sunday afternoon practices this coming Sunday afternoon, July 13 th at 4:30pm. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me. Thankful for the call, Brian Deacons’ Meeting Sunday, July 13, following PM Service!

! Again this year, we will be collecting money for shoe boxes in July, August , September and October. In November, we will use the money to purchase items in bulk,!and have a packing party to fill the shoe boxes. It takes approximately $20.00 to fill and ship a box. !! Please give to this worthy cause by designating your giving in a PBC offering envelope. In addition, you may continue to fill your own shoe box and donate it in November.
