We will celebrate everything our seniors have accomplished over the last four years, enjoy a fancy meal, and pray for our graduates as they prepare to be Christ’s witnesses in the world. Sat. June 3rd-Sun. June 4th at Water’s Edge Camp in Howell: Old St. Patrick and Holy Spirit are teaming up to host a retreat to lead our youth to encounter Christ through prayer, community, reflection, and time away from the normal hustle and bustle of daily life. The retreat is Pentecost weekend and the theme will be “Were not our hearts burning within us?” the question the disciples proposed to themselves after they encountered Christ in Emmaus. Mark on your calendars! Student cost is $60. Please contact the parish office to register.
On Wednesday, April 26, a new traffic pattern, or loop, was implemented as
part of construction on US-23:
On 6 Mile Road at US-23, westbound traffic will be maintained, with
eastbound traffic detoured to N. Territorial Road.
On N. Territorial Road at US-23, eastbound traffic will be maintained,
with westbound traffic detoured to 6 Mile Road.
This new traffic pattern will be in place until approximately mid-June.
In addition, the southbound US-23 off-ramp to N. Territorial Road will be closed starting
April 26 and will remain closed for approximately 1 month. The ramp is expected to
reopen in late May.

Motorcycle Blessing and Ride for Veterans On the morning of Saturday May 13th, Old St. Patrick's will host a Blessing of the Bikes and the start of a charity Motorcycle Ride to benefit Warriors and Caregivers United: a new non-profit started by a local veteran to help combat warriors reclaim a healthy life. Event starts at 9:30am in OSP parking lot and is open to all bikers and passengers willing to donate a minimum $10 per person. We are looking for volunteers to help with coffee and refreshments that morning. Parishioners are welcome to join the ride or volunteer to help with hosting the event. Donations can also be made online at wacu.org.

the Month for
April is the
Sayler Family.
Both the
Sayler’s are very
active in our
Church. Steph is a Lector, Sacristan and
a substitute for the Parish Secretary. She
also handles the data entry for the
Diocesan Sharing Appeal. Steph prepares
foods and waits tables for the weekly Fish
Fry’s. She is a lector and cleans the linens
at Dominos Farms Chapel. Mike is
a Trustee for the Knights and a Lector at
Mass. He works in the kitchen for the
weekly fish dinners and for the Knights
Pancake Breakfasts. Mike is a lector and
altar server at Dominos Farms Chapel.
Thank you Mike and Steph all your
generous work for our Church. You make
a winning team.

Knight of the Month Our Knight of the Month for
April is Thomas Cook. Thomas
has done an outstanding job
as our Financial Secretary for
the past 4 years. He has
chaired the Tootsie Roll Drive
for the last 5 years. Thomas
is a Den Leader for the Cub Scouts of
Pack 1, Spiritus Sanctus Academy and
Committee Member for the Boy Scouts of
Troop 27, St. Francis. Besides these
activities, Thomas and his children have
helped out at our Pancake Breakfasts.
Thank you Thomas for all the time and
effort for these projects.
Planning Meeting
Wednesday, May 3rd at 6:30pm, the
Officers and Knights will meet in Parish
Hall. All Knights are invited to attend and
contribute to our planning session.
Ink Cartridge Recycling
The Knights will be collecting empty ink
cartridges as a fund raiser thanks to Bob
Tomsic. A box will be in the Parish Center
to accept any type of ink and toner
cartridges.

Congratulations to our First Communicants
receiving their First Holy Communion today!
After 4pm Mass on Saturday, May 13th, we will honor Mary with a May crowning. This year marks the 100th
anniversary of the appearance of Mary to three young children in the town of Fatima in Portugal. First Communicants will have a special role as they do every year. The crowning will include a brief procession and a litany. We hope you will join us as we honor Mary our Mother!
