Thank You so much for looking through our premiere issue of TheHomeMag,

San Diego. I am excited about expanding into our 27th city. It is my sincere hope that

you find this magazine full of exciting ideas for your home, and that you feel confident

to work with each of our trusted businesses represented. Join us every month as we go

on an adventure together!

It’s been an incredible journey for me these past two months as we’ve undertaken the

task of expanding into San Diego. It seems that as soon as I made the decision to move

forward with the expansion, the universe stepped in to really challenge me with my

conviction to that goal. Everything that could challenge me hit me right between the

eyes. Some days I really had to raise my arms above my head, look up and shout,

“Really! You want me to handle this as well!”

Life is tough, but when you are tough on yourself life will be easier for you. Life is full

of problems and detours that will throw you off course. I believe that until you embrace

that fact, you will not be able to endure or be victorious over the journey that is set

before you. There is a peace knowing that every day you will have to solve a problem,

overcome an obstacle, or face a confrontation. This allows one to embrace what is,

instead of wishing what could be. Realism is a great friend in your life. It allows you

to do things you would not normally do, see things you would not normally see, and be

what you would not normally be.

I finally had my ‘Aha Moment’ during my quiet time. I realized that even if bad stuff

kept coming, I would not let it change me, make me angry, or allow me to give up. It

gave me such strength knowing I was not afraid of the outcome and no matter what,

I would reach the finish line. My outcome then began to change and everything started

to come together. Grow or fail? Run or hide? Keep going. Never give up!

We won and prevailed! Today, my team and I tasted victory and each one of us knew

that we had pushed ourselves on every level. We have been tested not just professionally,

but personally as well. If you resolve to believe in yourself, it is inevitable--you will cross

that line! I know because I came out on the other side.
