The world’s first economically viable, environmentally responsible well head solution.
Trilogy has been created to address the major waste and emissions issues facing the world’s oil and gas production fields, providing well owners an affordable way to comply with environmental legislation and regulation today and in the future.
Introducing The Trilogy System
Combined Heatand Power
Destruction of Air Emissions
Wastewater Disposal
Three integrated systems – one well head solution
• Air emissionsHow do we reduce or eliminate economically?
• Produced wastewaterHow do we treat or dispose of responsibly and affordably and put to beneficial use?
• Combined heat and powerHow do we avoid wasting well head energy resources and utilize them productively?
Oil and gas production fields face enormous environmental challenges
• Destruction of VOCs through flaringa. Low destruction rateb. Additional source of pollutionc. Burns fuel source for non-beneficial use
• Floating roofa. Not applicable for Natural Gas wells
• Stand alone thermal oxidation processa. Burns fuel source for non-beneficial useb. Not economically viable
Current alternatives for dealing with air emissions
Technologically inefficient, environmentally destructive and cost prohibitive ::
• Evaporation pondsa. Containment issues and liner failureb. Wild-life hazardsc. Requires truckingd. Only effective in dry climatese. Highly temperate dependant/ seasonally ineffective
• Injection wellsa. Require transportation to disposal siteb. Collapsing wells and contaminationc. Remove water from the eco-systemd. Legislated for future non-compliancee. Seismically vulnerable
Current alternatives for dealing with produced wastewater
• Filtrationa. High failure rateb. Difficult to monitorc. Requires truckingd. Requires release permitting
• Trucking watera. Expensive, inefficient and contributes to air emissionsb. Merely transfers the problem elsewhere
• Reverse osmosisa. Cost prohibitiveb. Requires trucking, release permitting and constant manual monitoring
Technologically inefficient, environmentally destructive and cost prohibitive ::
• Current oil and gas production systems are not utilizing heat and energy resources pursuant to the current administration’s future direction on clean energy.
The use of thermal energy and combined heat and power (CHP) offers a huge opportunity for improved efficiency and emissions reduction.
Current alternatives for dealing with well head energy waste
Technologically inefficient and environmentally irresponsible ::
• Water, oil and condensate data trackinga. No viable options availableb. Inefficient manual operationc. Fraud d. Human errore. Lack of document verification
Current alternatives for water, oil and condensate data tracking
Technologically inefficient and cost prohibitive ::
The Trilogy Solution successfully addresses these challenges at the well head
The Trilogy Solution
• Air emission cleaning and scrubbingTrilogy thermal oxidation process eliminates 99% of VOCs at the well head
• ZAP (Zero Air Shed Potential) – wastewater disposalTrilogy economically and efficiently disposes of wastewater at the well head and purifies the water for future beneficial use
• Combined heat and power (turbine)Trilogy utilizes patented turbine system to address the importance of reclaimed power at the well head
Step 1 ::Air emission cleaning and scrubbing
• VOCs are burned in the Thermal Oxidization Process
• The Destruction Efficiency is 99% of overall Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons
• Thermal Oxidization Process also reduces produced NOx gases
• BTUs produced in Thermal Oxidation Process are utilized in the Scrubbing / Evaporation Unit
Trilogy thermal oxidization process
Scrubbing / Reducing Emissions
• Gases (Aerosols) exposed to water rise through tall vertical stack• Fine spray creates high water/gas interface surface• Effective scrubbing results• Controlled exhaust pressure from engine/heater/flare• Spray pattern optimized for scrubbing/evaporating• Spray pattern ensures repeated 100% contact with exhaust gases
Results are VOC, SOx, and particulate reduction

Gas well emissions greater than coal fired power plant emissions
Estimated Annual Emissions for Uintah County Petroleum Field Development (7,000 Wells) Compared to Proposed 300 MW Coal Fired Power Plant (Tons/Year) ::
Information for petroleum field development was gathered from the Uintah Basin Air Quality Study. Information for the proposed 300 MW Sevier Coal Fired Power Plant can be found at the Utah Department of Environmental Quality. This graph compares the estimated annual emissions for cumulative petroleum development within Uintah County versus proposed 300 MW coal fired power plant in Tons/Year.
Step 2 ::ZAP (Zero Air Shed Potential) – Disposal and beneficial use of produced wastewater
ZAP lowers cost of water disposal
• Scrubbing at the well head purifies and evaporates wastewater
• Remaining water can then be disposed of or beneficially used at pad locations
• Water trucking costs are significantly reduced due to localized pad disposal of water
• Easier to permit new and existing locations due to lower emissions and particulate count
Stand alone ZAP located at Danish Flats
Water evaporation at a rate of 100 to 1,500 barrels a day per unit
• In terms of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), in the U.S., the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) advises against consuming water containing more than 500mg/liter, otherwise known as 500 parts per million (ppm) of TDS
• Many health specialists believe that ideal drinking water should be under 50 ppm
• The average tap water in America contains approximately 350 ppm of TDS
• Trilogy water samples show results of 268 ppm – exceeding the EPA requirement for drinking water in the United States
Trilogy water exceeds EPA standards

Step 3 ::Combined heat and power (Turbine)
• A Natural Gas Turbine Generator is used at the well head for lower power cost and fueling cost
• The BTUs produced in Power Generation Process are recycled in the Scrubbing / Evaporation Unit
• Lower maintenance cost and any excess power generated can be sold back to the power company

State-of-the-art data tracking ::In addition to solving the three main environmental concerns facing oil and gas production fields, Trilogy goes a step further by providing instantaneous and remote water, oil and condensate data tracking at the well head
What our system does ::
• Our system provides 100% accurate information from the time the water is loaded on the first truck at the well head or pad location all the way to the disposal site
• This information is then instantaneously uploaded to the internet so the end user has immediate access to the information. All historical data is then recorded and saved for future review
• The Trilogy System also remotely measures water level, oil level and condensate level at the well head or pad location and then uploads that information to the internet
Load Metrics / Data Tracking
Tracking Process
1.Trucking company data stored on RFID tag on truck
2.Producer/Location data stored at pad module
3.Driver enters ID to activate tracker module – tracker module reads tank data closes incoming valve opens outgoing valve – driver loads truck – tracker module reads tank data opens incoming valve
4.Tracker pad module is written to truck RFID
5.Truck driver ID activates off load kiosk
6.Off load kiosk reads data from truck RFID – opens valve to off load location (any type of off load location)
7.Volume of liquid is measured and monitored – data is stored in off load kiosk
8.Photo is taken of driver – ticket is printed for driver to sign – driver signs ticket – driver places ticket in kiosk scanner – driver is provided with copy of ticket
9.All data including photo and ticket image are uploaded to secure web based system
10.Data and images are available in real time via online dashboards – system will then generate custom reports – invoice customers – broadcast text messages, emails etc.
Current data tracking practices ::
Load Metrics / Data Tracking
• Tracking of disposal water is currently being done by manual data entry. There are many areas for mistakes to be made and even fraudulent information to be entered
• Currently well head expenses are being averaged over several well locations so the true cost for production at each location is unknown
• Condensate levels currently have to be measured manually by personnel and measuring stick. Errors in measurement or by the driver result in condensate being hauled off with the water disposal
• Water trucking companies often times bill at an hourly rate without accountability
Trailer Information ::- Volume- Water Quality- Trailer ID- Pad ID- Driver ID- Timestamp
Data to Server and Billing ::- Camera Image- Trailer Volume / Barrels- Water Quality- Trailer ID- Driver ID- Pad ID- Truck ID- Hold Tank Volume- Hold Tank Water Quality- Pad Water Level- Pad Condensate Level
Information recorded and provided to well / pad owner
Data is recorded, transmitted and made available instantly via the world wide web ::
