Join us on Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m. as Maria Villalobos, the Lead Regional Navigator with Sun Life, helps answer ques-tions and explains the enrollment process for you.

At this free information session, you will learn

what the Affordable Care Act is, who is eligible, and how to obtain coverage. You will also learn about some helpful resources available to you.

Winter Fun Reading Program

Blood Pressure & Oxygen Monitoring

Dealing with the ab-sence of a loved one can be espe-cially difficult dur-

ing certain times of the year.

On Friday, December 12th at 11:00 a.m., learn tips and rec-

ommendations for coping with grief over the holidays. Recognize the uniqueness of grief during this time while learning to identify mecha-nisms for dealing with sorrow and loss.

Kids from ages 0-12 are invited to come in with a family member to pick up an activity board at the library starting December 1.

Children complete 15 activities total. These ac-tivities include a combination of 25 reading and some especially fun activities that include the whole family. Parents or legal guardians sign off on each completed activity.

Turn in the activity board by Friday, January 9th at 6:00 p.m. to receive your prize.

The Coolidge Public Library has partnered with Gemini Hospice to provide residents a chance to a get a blood pressure and oxy-gen check, as well as a general health assessment.

On December 12th and 26th, adults over the age of 18 can visit the library anytime between

10:00 a.m and noon.

You are not required to bring anything with you. Gemini will provide a nurse and an educa-tor who can answer questions and provide ad-ditional resources.

Adult Book Discussion

The December Book Club title is Filaree: A Novel of an American Woman by Mar-guerite Noble. .

The Book Club will meet Tuesday, December 9th from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. To sign out a book club selection, simply visit the library before the scheduled meeting date. You need to have a valid contact number prior to sign out and should have a library card. Snacks and drinks are provided.

On Friday, December 5th at 4:00 p.m., we in-vite anyone between 9 and 18 years of age to a special Tween Titans.

We will make garland using a variety of edible treats from popcorn to candy! Hang it on a tree, a door, or anywhere you’d like! You can even make to hang in the library!

A Polar Express Storytime @ San Carlos Park

Storytime is held on Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. Children ages 1-4 can listen to a story and complete a fun craft.

We invite families with children ages 1-4 to join us for a very special and festive storytime on Wednesday, December 17th at 10:15 a.m., at San Carlos Park (300 W Central).

Together, with the Coolidge Youth Coalition and the Desert Train Express, this will be a sto-

rytime you will never forget!

Listen to a Polar Express story and then ride a train around the park! We will provide you with a Polar Express ticket that will grant you access to the train!

Children must be with a parent or legal guard-ian at all times.

LEGO Club

This is an exciting program for children ages 5-12 years old. We supply the LEGOS. You sup-ply the imagination! The Club will meet on Friday, December 12th at 4:00 p.m.

Between December 22-24th, we are bringing back Unplug & Game On. Come in any time throughout the day, sign out a board or card game to play while you’re here, and then re-turn it before you leave. Easy as that!

It’s a great way to unplug from the phones, computers, and tablets for a while and spend

some time connecting with friends and family with some of the classics we all grew up with!

This also counts as an activity on the Winter Reading Program log—details on page 2!

The Fun Van, sponsored by First Things

First, is an Early Literacy Program for

families with children ages 1-5. It uses the

parents as they prepare their children for
