April Issue

Welcome from Rachael

Spring has well and truly arrived now, and with the warmer weather, most of the riding school horses and ponies have hung up their rugs, until the autumn.

This is always a busy time at the yard, and with the arrival of Remmy at long last over at The Rectory our sister yard, there just does-n’t seem to be enough

hours in the day.

I am sure many of you will know Billy, one of our in-

structors, celebrated his 21st birthday this month

And carrying on with the celebrations congratula-tions to Brogan Haddon and Jo who did really well at Warren Show a couple

of weeks ago. Good luck for the rest of the show season.

Thank you for supporting Paul Dixon and his food out-let. Its lovely to have really nice fresh food available on site, especially on a cold day.

Finally I look forward to see-ing those of you who are coming to your favourite pony on an Own A Pony day dur-ing the Easter Holiday.

Have a lovely Easter Break.

Name: Alysha (Instructor)

Alysha is currently studying for a diploma in Horse Management Level 3 at Brackenhurst College. This is why sometimes she’s missing from the yard at the weekend as she has her horse duties to do there.

How did you get into horses?

Mum took me when I was little for my first lesson at Woodside. (See Picture) We then moved yards and had a pony on loan before moving to our sister yard The Rectory, and loaning a horse called Bramble, who I’ve known for 6 years.

Favourite horse of all time? Blaze. Be-cause she can be so naughty at times, and other times she’s just the best horse in the world.

Favourite Film of all time ? Stomp the Yard.

Favourite Drink? Apple juice

Favourite Food? Anything with pasta or cold chips

Favourite part of the job? Riding and getting know new customers.
