“The village has an active WI, church group and village hall and playing field which hosts plenty of local events, including book, tennis and cricket clubs along with a great play area for children to enjoy. I’m a member of the walking group and we meet every Wednesday morning for a walk around the village footpaths, leading along the river bank and through the fields. The group brings villagers together and we end up in the pub or someone’s house to enjoy a coffee and a chat. The popular fruit and flower show is held annually at the village hall and some of the gardens open to raise money for charity. The village is also home to Pavenham Park Golf Club.”

“There is plenty to do in the local area, including visits to nearby Harrold Country Park which has a 2.5K circular walk around the nature reserve and a café. We’re close to Rushden Lakes, Milton Keynes and Bedford for shopping and my husband likes to use the nearby, newly built, Towers Health and Racquets Club which has a gym, swimming pool and tennis and squash courts. Bedford train station is easily reached for visits to the London theatres.”

Major shopping is available at Milton Keynes, Rushden lakes and Bedford with main line rail links to London and the North at Bedford and Milton Keynes.
