The Moscow Excursion

• The Moscow, PA Excursion, which is the train that departs from the Steamtown Train Station, is a 26 mile train ride that takes up to about two hours. It follows beautiful scenery into the Pocono Mountains across many bridges and through the countryside's of Pennsylvania. http://www.nps.gov/stea/planyourvisit/tour29.htm

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

• Scranton’s St. Patrick’s Day parade is the second largest parade in the country. There is a mass at the Scranton Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. and the parade kicks off at about 11:45. The streets of downtown Scranton are blocked off for this parade and they are filled with people from all over.

La Fiesta Italiana

• La Fiesta is held over Labor Day weekend from Saturday until Monday on the Courtyard Square in downtown Scranton. It is filled with hundreds of tents with some of the best food Scranton has to offer.

They have done marvelous amounts of work on the school to advance in their technological aspects and provide their students with the best.

The Commonwealth Medical College

• The New medical school of The University of Scranton was built in order to increase the number of doctors in Northeastern, PA. The Commonwealth Medical College opened in August 2009 and accepted 65 medical students and 13 Master of Biomedical Sciences students.

• For the years of 2009-2010, students attending the medical school will use the facilities at Lackawanna College in Scranton.

• Buildings for the new medical school are in effect and they are hoping to be done with most of this process in about five to ten years.
