Situated between Bormio and Livigno, Valdidentro is the ideal

mer, there are numerous trails to hike or mountain bike that

meander between the Val Viola, the Val Lia, and the Valley of

St. Giacomo, where you will also find the imposing Cancano

hydroelectric dams. In the winter, in addition to skiing, one can

try biathlon, the Nordic ski track, and the dog sleds. Not to be

ra e, tra le passeggiate, la regina è sicuramente la Val

di Rezzalo; molto suggestivo è anche il centro storico

del paese, tra antiche e rustiche abitazioni e chiese con

pregevoli opere d’arte e il Villaggio Sanatoriale, simbolo

della storia più recente.

Valli, laghetti, torrenti e sorgenti d’acqua creano

uno scenario sorprendente e tutto da scoprire:

imperdibile, ad esempio, la Riserva Naturale del

Paluaccio, vicino al Forte Venini, fortezza militare

degli inizi del 900. Mentre in inverno, si può pro-

vare lo sci sul monte Vallecetta e nel comprenso-

contaminato sgorga una delle acque più rinomate

Sondalo is a health and vacation resort ideal for lovers

of nature and relaxation, thanks to its climate, healthy

air, and its variety of natural landscapes. It offers several

possibilities for nature lovers, and of the many hikes and

strolls, the best are certainly in the Val di Rezzalo. The

historical center of town is also quite impressive, with its

ancient, rustic houses, churches filled with exquisite wor-

ks of art, and the sanitarium complex, a symbol of more

recent history.

Valleys, lakes, streams, and natural springs crea-

te a landscape with lots of surprises to discover.

Including, and not to be missed, is the Natural Re-

serve of Paluaccio, near Fort Venini, a military for-

tress from the early 900’s. In winter, one can ski

at two great ski areas, Mount Vallecetta and Oga/

San Colombano. Through this untouched territory

springs forth one of Italy’s most well-known and

popular mineral waters.

In the heart of the Stelvio National Park, Valfurva offers plen-

ty of opportunities for nature lovers: fine trails to hike or MTB

in the enchanting valleys of the Val Zebrù and Val Cedec, up

to the Forni glacier. And for road cyclists, one name stands

out: the Gavia Pass. In winter, ski the challenging Deborah

Compagnoni slope, or try cross-country, both at the Santa

Over 600 km of trails of varying difficulty - perfect for all tastes - from families to expert mountaineers. Hiking

alone, with just map and guidebook, or with a group led by a mountain guide, you can discover the most

suggestive corners of the Stelvio National Park. An obligatory hike is to visit an alpine farm house, the symbol

of the mountain farming tradition, and its opportunity to taste fresh and genuine products. Then visit beautiful

picnic areas or a mountain hut (each with a small restaurant), for a short break in the middle of nature.

A Bormio si scia tutto l’anno! Per chi non si accontenta dello sci invernale, da maggio a novembre il

Ghiacciaio dello Stelvio diventa la più vasta area sciabile estiva delle Alpi, con oltre 20 km di piste

tra il Passo Stelvio (2758 m) e il Monte Cristallo (3450 m); un ambiente ideale per apprendere e

migliorare la tecnica di qualsiasi disciplina della neve: non solo snowboard e sci, ma anche sci di

fondo. Anche i più grandi campioni scelgono lo Stelvio per i propri allenamenti estivi!

In Bormio you can ski all year round! For those who are not satisfied with just winter skiing, from May to

November, the Stelvio Glacier becomes the largest summer ski area in the Alps, with more than 20 km of

slopes between the Stelvio Pass (2,758 m) and Monte Cristallo (3,450 m); it’s an ideal environment to learn

and improve your technique in any snow sport: not only snowboarding and skiing, but also cross-country

skiing. Many of the greatest ski champions choose the Stelvio resort for their summer workouts!

Il campo da golf di Bormio, considerato uno dei migliori campi di montagna d’Italia, ha 9 buche

adatte sia per principianti che per giocatori più esperti. Aperto tutti i giorni da aprile a novembre,

presenta ottimi fairways, green spettacolari e ostacoli d’acqua finalizzati a serbatoio per l’impian-

to automatico di irrigazione. L’ampio campo pratica è dotato di putting green e pitching green.

Durante la stagione, vengono organizzati numerosi corsi, gare e tornei.

The golf course of Bormio, considered one of the best in the mountains of Italy, has 9 holes, and is suitable

for both beginners and more experienced players. Open daily from April to November, it has excellent fair-

ways, spectacular greens, and challenging water hazards, which interestingly, also store water for irrigation.

The large practice area is equipped with driving range, putting green, and pitching green. Throughout the

season, the Bormio golf course hosts numerous competitions and tournaments.

vare il Trenino Rosso del Bernina, patrimonio mondiale dell’UNESCO che da Tirano raggiunge St. Mo-

ritz. A 40 km si trova Livigno, famosa meta turistica invernale ed estiva in zona franca; a Grosio, molto

particolare il Parco delle Incisioni Rupestri e, scendendo lungo la media-bassa Valtellina, meritano una

visita le numerose case vinicole e la spettacolare Via dei Terrazzamenti.

gions. Ride Il Trenino Rosso (the Bernina Express), part of the UNESCO world heritage, from Tirano to

St. Moritz over Bernina Pass. Livigno, 40 km away, is a famous winter and summer tourist destination in

a tax-free zone. In Grosio you will find the very unusual Park of the Rupestrian Inscriptions. Further down

the Valtellina, it is well worth visiting the wineries and the spectacular terraced vineyards.
