Lukas Anderson (Stapleton/Perkins) An eighth grader, Lukas is a man on the move. A top-ranked competitive speed skater, he competes in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is in the process of qualifying for the America’s Cup. He’s also a student of several different forms of martial arts. Hound of the Baskervilles marks the third time Lukas has appeared on stage. He was a dwarf in last year’s production of The Hobbit and in fourth grade was in the play Priscilla McDoodle Asks Why at Windermere View. He also stretched his creative muscles with Destination Imagination for a few years. Lukas is an avid writer, dabbling in many different genres. An advanced math student, he attends the high school for Algebra II. “I’d like to thank everyone who helped me get this far.”

Emily Berg (Mrs. Barrymore, Ensemble) Emily is an artistically talented young lady who enjoys performing. Currently in 8th grade, she was in last year’s Middle School production of The Hobbit and has performed in Scrooge and The Passion Play at Mt. Hope Church. She is an enthusiastic trumpeter in the middle school band. She is passionate about her involvement in her church. “It doesn’t matter what I’m doing as long as I’m helping people, especially at my church.” Emily would like to thank her mom for her constant support no matter what happens.

Jimmy Brandell (Hugo Baskerville/Selden) A freshman at Waverly High School, Jimmy first walked the boards at St. Gerard’s under the direction of Ms. Murphy. He was in two musicals, Bobtails and Bobbysocks and the Western, Shakespeare Comes to Calamity Creek. His director praised him as being energetic about acting. Jimmy has also stretched his creative muscles on a Destination Imagination team. He played basketball and baseball for three years and is now concentrating his energies on Boy Scouts. He’s part of St. Gerard Church’s Troop 121. Jimmy would like to thank Ms. Murphy, his play director for the past two years.

Alexis Clemmons (Laura Lyons, Ensemble) Alexis, a 7th grader, first sharpened her dramatic teeth at Waverly East, playing the role of Sacagawea in the school’s Women in History project with Mrs. Papciak. She’s also expressed her artistic side in the choir and loves to play basketball. She’d like to thank her mom for supporting her through the rehearsal process and for being there on opening (and other) night.

Amara Crosby (Dorthea Stapleton, Ensemble) A freshman at Waverly High School, Amara has wanted to be an actress since she was four years old. She began her acting career with All-of-Us Express Children’s Theater, appearing as a cloud woman in James and the Giant Peach. She was also a devil in a silent play at her church. Amara has been playing violin since sixth

Meet the Castgrade and is currently in the Waverly orchestra. When she’s not performing, Amara enjoys hanging out with her friends and watching movies, especially comedies with action and a little bit of romance. She is also a member of Campus Life. “I’d like to thank my mom because she lets me do stuff and join what I want.”

Malcolm Davis (Sir Henry Baskerville) Malcolm credits his aunt for dragging him reluctantly into what has become a passion for him – the theater. “She got me started. I really wasn’t interested. I thought it was stupid, then I tried it and found out it was fun.” Aunt Regina Riddle cast him as a prince in Sala Cinderella, one of the sons in Crowns, and a munchkin in The Wiz. At Waverly Middle School he appeared as Friar Tuck (??) in Robin Hood and Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit. In addition to theater, Malcolm plays baseball, earned a black belt in Tae Kwan Do, and used to play football. He currently performs clarinet in the Waverly High School marching band and is about to switch to alto saxophone. He hopes to one day be a drum major. He’d like to thank his Aunt Gina, his mom, his dad, both his grandmas and his Aunt Christina.

B’Elanna Dumont (Lestrade, Maiden) B’Elanna is no stranger to the dramatic arts. She has graced the stages at both Waverly schools and her church. Last year she was a dwarf in the Middle School’s The Hobbit and then appeared as a Oompa-Loompa in the high school musical, Willie Wonka. An eighth grader, she’s also appeared in plays at Christmas and Easter at her church and is on the drama team for her church youth group and with Kids Connect. Also at church she is on the dance team and the worship team. B’Elanna also enjoys gymnastics and was on this year’s cross country team. “I like to be dramatic.”

John Henrikson (Mr. Barrymore) A freshman at Waverly High School, John began acting last year at the Middle School playing Gollum and a dwarf in The Hobbit. He turned in a memorable performance as the twisted creature yelling for his Precioussss which Bilbo had stolen. He was then recruited for the musical, Willie Wonka where he played the comic role of the hard-of-hearing Grandpa. John is also in choir and is a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog. “I’d like to thank Mr. Redman, Mrs. Redman, my mom and dad, and my cat.”

Diamond Jackson (Messenger, Ensemble) Diamond is no stranger to the stage, though “The Hound of the Baskervilles” is her first play. Her previous performances include a recital at Haslett, singing as a soprano in choir and dancing with Pre-Teen Hip Hop and Teen Hip Hop. She was in cheerleading for two years. In second grade at Colt, Diamond did a state show presentation for several students and parents from other classes. Diamond loves expressing her creativity in the realm of fashion and beauty. She enjoys designing outfits, doing nails and cutting hair – whether her own or her dogs. “Thanks to my mom for picking

He earned a Thespie award for his performance as the Young Tommy in the Michigan State University production of The Who’s Tommy. With All-of-Us Express Theatre, he’s performed as Punchy the Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz and Brave Eagle in Pocahontas. In elementary school at Forest View he was in Bremen Town Musicians and performed as the school mascot, Little Twist. Here at Waverly, he was Kaspar of Lincolnshire in Robin Hood, the Goblin King and an elf guard in The Hobbit and an Ooompa Loompa in Willie Wonka. Emilio is a member of APAC at Waverly High School and performed on the a dance team at the Capitol for Michigan’s 150th birthday. He enjoys writing poetry and stories. He’d like to thank his mom for getting him into acting and helping him get to where he is today; his dad for supporting him through all of this; and everyone at All-of-Us Express for being there for him. “I dream of a better tomorrow where chickens can cross the road and not have their motives questioned.”

Dominic C. Redman (Sir Charles) Dominic grew up in the theater, attending a brush-up rehearsal before making it home from the hospital after his birth. His first professional stage appearance was with the Michigan Shakespeare Festival as the McDuff boy in Macbeth. He also performed in the Riverwalk musical, The Rothschilds for which he won a special Thespie award for children’s ensemble. He has played multiple roles in numerous school productions at Montessori Children’s House of Lansing and Pleasantview Magnet School for the Visual and Performing Arts. She enjoys editing videos and creating cool effects, posting them at YouTube.com/Emilyjoannestokes. She’d like

to thank her parents for paying for all of her lessons and her brother. “I’m more comfortable on stage than when I’m not. It gives me a chance to have an adrenalin rush. I like the really big scenes like the end scene in this play or the one with the dragon last year.”

Rachel Spidle (Dr. Maxine Mortimer/Maid, Ensemble) Already a professional actress who has appeared in three movies, Rachel has frequently walked the boards with All-of-Us Express Children’s Theater and the Waverly Theater Club.
