Target Customer
✣ This puzzle would be available to children of any gender and all
ages. More than likely this will be targeted to children in their
teens.
✣ The targeted market will also be to those who are curious about
puzzles.
✣ Because of the puzzle’s simple yet difficult solution, it became a
primary idea for our toy.
Conceptual Design❖ Leonardo da Vinci
➢ created a ball bearing puzzle

Customer Feedback and Results
✣ TA⨳ “I never thought of
that!”✣ 3 students
⨳ “Wow that was cool!”
✣ 5 year-old⨳ Could not solve it.
✣ Center piece split by screw due to it being brittle particle board.⨳ Can be replaced
with wood.✣ Due to the 5 year-old
that couldn’t solve it, we bumped up the age level to 10 year-olds and up.
Cost and Time Estimates
Prototyping cost: $6.35
For 1000 units: $6350
Retail price: $11.99
Profit for 1000 units =$5640
Took approximately 37.5 man-hrs to make the prototype.
Conclusion
✣ Puzzle was very successful for it’s purpose.⨳ TA and all students agreed it was worth playing.
✣ However our age group had to be bumped upwards due to difficulty.
✣ Puzzle can be improved by replacing the center piece with another material.
