A Splendid Steampunk New Year ~ a guide to the festivities

THANK YOU for booking to join the Victorian Steampunk Society for a unique celebration of the New Year.

WE have worked with the Grand Hotel to provide a full package of premier rooms, award-winning

food, sumptuous surroundings and a sackfull of splendid activities for you to enjoy.

STAYING in the hotel means you have the choice to participate in the weekend’s activities or just relax in

your own room, or one of the recently refurbished bars, lounges, restaurants or the gym.

IN this guide you will find details of what is on offer. This will not be a finite list, as we find many things

happen on the spur of the moment and people will create their own entertainment, that you may also enjoy.

PLEASE do get involved before the event if you have any ideas, suggestions or things you would like to offer

the group. We want this to be a relaxing and immersive experience that is steered by you.

Although dormant throughout most of the 20th century, Bartitsu has been experiencing a revival since 2002.
