The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Narrator: One Sunday morning, it’s sunny. And a tiny and very hungry caterpillar comes out of the egg.
Caterpillar: Hello! Good Morning! Hmm, I’m hungry… Where’s the food?
Narrator: On Monday, he eats one apple.
Apple: Hello! (The caterpillar eats the apple.)
Caterpillar: Yummy, yummy. I’m still hungry! Where’s the food?
Narrator: On Tuesday, he eats two pears.
Pears: Hello!
Caterpillar: Yummy, yummy. (He eats the pears, counting: 1, 2). I’m still hungry! Where’s the food?
Narrator: On Wednesday, he eats three plums.
Plums: Hello!
Caterpillar: Yummy, yummy. (He eats the plums, counting: 1, 2, 3). I’m still hungry. Where’s the food?
Narrator: On Thursday, he eats four strawberries.
Strawberries: Hello!
Caterpillar: Yummy, yummy. (He eats the strawberries, counting: 1, 2, 3, 4). I’m still hungry. Where’s the food?
Narrator: On Friday, he eats five oranges.
Oranges: Hello!
Caterpillar: Yummy, yummy. (He eats the oranges, counting: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). I’m still hungry. Where’s the food?
Narrator: On Saturday, he eats one piece of chocolate cake…
Piece of chocolate cake: Hello!
Narrator: …one ice-cream…
Ice-cream: Hello!
Narrator: …one lollipop…
Lollipop: Hello!
Narrator: …and one piece of pie.
Piece of pie: Hello!
Caterpillar: Yummy, yummy. (He eats all the sweets.) Mmm, my stomach hurts!
Narrator: The next day is Sunday again. The caterpillar eats one green leaf and he is much better.
Green leaf: Hello!
Caterpillar: Yummy, yummy. (He eats the green leaf.) I’m not hungry! Yuppie!
Narrator: And he is not a little caterpillar anymore.
Caterpillar: I’m BIG… and FAT!
Narrator: He builds a small house: a cocoon. (Noise is heard, making the house).
Cocoon: Hello!
Narrator: The caterpillar is inside for two weeks. Then he makes a hole in the cocoon, comes out and…
