What is that?!
It’s when you’re ridiculously happy! I mean really… Happy.
And an event occurs, afterwards, that completely wipes out that Cloud
9 feeling.
The Happiness Threshold has happened several times to me… going
through my day just feeling really happy, the day looks and feels different, people engage with me differently, the
details of the experience is being stamped in my mind.
I just felt alive.
And you know this: your day runs smoothly and suddenly your feet are knocked out from
underneath you.
And you are sitting on your ass like- WTF!
You just hit nose first into your Happiness Threshold. You are holding your bloody
nose, trying to find the person who popped you.
The source of your frustration and confusion is your inability recognize the
warning signs.
My day started out AWESOME! So why did I get T-BONED?!
(For those of you who don’t know, T-boned in this context is not a steak. It’s when another car or truck hits the side of your vehicle, in my case my passenger side and spun me 360)
My experience: I was soaring that day and I crashed- Twice. Once with another
vehicle and the second by reality.
A friend- When I am happy, WHY does my husband call and accuse me of cheating?Another friend- I signed up to a class to get my life straight, then my boyfriend dies!
If it’s not one thing it’s another.
The signs are very specific:
You are uncharacteristically happy, and then reality
backhands you.
The pattern is always there.
Emotional Dumpster
The Happiness Threshold is your step up to your next level happiness that you are being prepared to embrace.
The garbage man picks up your life’s trash and is about to haul it off…
You feel that that load you’ve been carrying has been lifted. The weigh bowing your shoulders, eases up. And you take a deep and nourishing breath….
But the garbage man (or woman) misread his orders and comes back to give you your trash back, he (or she) isn’t even sorry about it.
And in the process of getting your shit back, you experience an emotional crash and you tumble back to your reality….
Totaled car.
Job loss.
Ended relationship.
