Professional service and experience (consultancies, professional committees, commissions, visiting professorships, invited lectureships, etc.): 1983 − 1985 Participated in the Household Goods Inquiry as a consultant to Consumer and

Corporate Affairs and provided expert testimony. This anti-combines case was the first successfully prosecuted collusion case in the regulated services sector resulting in a prohibition order.

1986 − 1988 Committee member on the Task Force for Vehicle Productivity and New

Vehicle Configurations, Transportation Research Board, National Academy of Sciences. This committee oversaw a 3 year study that made recommendations for national policy concerning vehicle size, weights and access.

1988 Consultant and testimony in the Auto Haulaway vs. Anacis Island Terminal

hearing before the BC Motor Carrier Commission. This was the first hearing under the Motor Carrier Act of 1988 and set the precedent for hearings that followed.

1994 − 1995 Participated in the Freight Forwarder Case as a consultant to Consumer and

Corporate Affairs and the Department of Justice, providing expert testimony. This anti-combines case was used to determine the type of economic and commercial evidence that was required to prove anti competitive behavior.
