UM SYSTEM STAFF ADVISORY COUNCIL

NOMINATIONS SOLICITED

FOR 1998-2001

UM System Staff Advisory Council is our means of communication with Administration. You can be a voice for yourself and co-workers by becoming a part of the Council.

The Election Committee is seeking nominations for two vacancies in the administrative/professional group and two vacancies in the service and support group. These four Council seats will become vacant October 1998. Those elected will serve a three-year term.

To be eligible for nomination to the Council, nominees must be benefit eligible administrative, service or support staff employees below the director level. Nominees may not have a primary classification of teaching and research .

If you are interested in serving or would like to nominate another individual to the UM System Staff Advisory Council, you are encouraged to make nominations. Should you nominate someone other than yourself, please ensure their consent. If you choose to nominate more than one person, please copy this form and submit one form per person.

After receiving nominations, the Election Committee will provide a ballot of names representing the seats to be filled in each category. The resulting ballot will be mailed to UM System staff by mid-August.

Election Committee members are: Nilufer Joseph-Tipton, Planning & Budget, Chair; Ken England, ICS, Vice-Chair; Bonita Lenger, Accounting; Brian McNamee, Investment & Banking, Joe Asher, Records Management; Sherry Kilgore, Investment & Banking.
