The Cambrian was the beginning of life, from the first vertebrae to the first predators. Naturally, China was the birthplace of these animals
How do we know it looked like this?
Ordovician navigation
This was a period of giant snails, such as Camerocerus, and, at the end of the period, was the first ever extinction event. The seas froze over, wiping out 1 in 5 animals
How do we know of this event?
Silurian Period
Silurian navigation
The Silurian brought on super-sized arthropods in the sea, and insects take the land. The first fish with memory and first scorpions with lungs appear.
How do we know about the anatomy?
Devonian Period
Devonian navigation
The Devonian brought trees, land insects, and out ancestors, the first amphibians. It also had giant fish and sharks such as Stethocanthus and Hyneria.
How do we know about shark bones if they’re made out of cartilage?
Carboniferous Period

It was a wet time with 40% higher oxygen than today, fuelling an insect growth spurt. Ferns are 50 metres tall, reptiles appear and amphibians are no longer prey.
How do we know of the flora and insects?

The Permian was home to the first large reptiles. The supercontinent Pangaea was formed and in the middle, was a desert that kept spreading and caused an extinction event second to only the Holocene extinction.
How do we know of Pangaea?
Triassic Period
Triassic navigation
The Triassic was the life-saver of the Palaeozoic. Primitive conifers housed large reptiles, the first ancestor of Dinosaurs, and the first crocodiles and alligators.
How do we know of this revival?
Jurassic Period
Jurassic navigation
The Jurassic saw the first dinosaur giants such as Diplodocus and Stegosaurus. This was the beginning of the Mesozoic, a very short period of time compared to the Palaeozoic.
How do we know this was a new period?
Cretaceous Period
Cretaceous navigation
The Cretaceous not only saw the rise of tyrannosaurs, such as T. Rex, but the end of Pangaea, splitting into two continents of Laurasia, of Europe and Asia, and Gondwanaland consisted of the rest. It was the beginning of the end for dinosaurs, after a massive meteorite smashed into Earth.
How do we know of this?
Palaeocene Period
Palaeocene navigation
The Palaeocene was the start of a new life, but, unfortunately, dinosaurs evolved into birds, and attacked mammals before they could even take over.
How do we know the T. Rex evolved into birds?
Eocene navigation
The birds just grew stronger than ever, led by Gastornis. Rainforest conquer earth until the late Eocene, where it became cooler and grassland appeared. The first whales appear and the mammals are starting a rebellion against birds. The late Eocene also saw the largest mammal predator ever: Andrewsarchus.
How do we know of this climate change?
Oligocene navigation
The lands are now desert-like plains, with giant pigs like Entelodont and raccoon Hyaenadon are large predators, evolving the largest land mammal ever: Indricothere, which was related to rhinos.
How do we know of the relation if Indricothere had no need for a horn?
Miocene navigation
The Miocene was the beginning of the rhinos, and the biggest shark ever appears, called Megalodon, and speed, like before, is the only way of surviving predators, but in a few periods, that will change…
Why do you think so?

The Pliocene was home to the first Hominids (Upright apes) and they’re prey for creatures like Deinofelius, a small sabre-toothed cat.
How do we know about Australopithecus (Our Ancestors) were prey for Deinofelius?
Pleistocene Period
Pleistocene navigation
The Pleistocene was the age of the Ice Ages, which brought popular animals such as the Woolly Mammoth and Smilodon. The humans are now top predators in this era.
How do we know of the Ice Ages?
Holocene Period
Holocene navigation
Holocene was the so-called ‘Artificial World’ (Though it’s name does not mean this) Humans create buildings and the entire period is an extinction event that is killing off species more than 4x faster than any period.
When do you think the Holocene began?

All the life currently during this era were marine creatures. Thus the Earth looked like this.
Ordovician Answer
Lots of ice chunks dating 447-444 million years ago have been found, with trilobites and jawless fish were found, proving the event.
Silurian Answer
Marks have been found inside the preserved bodies of Brontoscorpio and Cephalasphis, showing bigger brains and simple lungs.
As I’ve said before, major proof.
Devonian Answer
Not all shark bones are gone. Sometimes sediment can be strong enough to even preserve cartilage. Proof.
Carboniferous Answer
Tree sap can preserve insects, as for the trees, what’s left of them are pieces of coal looking like a big tree.

Permian Answer
The same kinds of animals were found in lands that would usually be far apart.

Lots of different creatures like synapsids and chasmatosaurs have been found at one time, proving the boost.

Nothing but dinosaurs, crocodiles and mammals were around in this era.

In Mexico, there is a HUGE crater that we can pretty much guess is the remains of the dino’s enemy.

The skeletal structure is pretty much the same of creatures such as the emu, ostrich or even a chicken.

Different types of plant were found during this era.

The Holocene began 10,000 BC (Not to be confused with 10,000 BC, a very incorrect movie)
