#worldsapartWhat the internet is to us to people like you and me, sitting here in Barcelona, or maybe in an office in New York or London, is very different from what the internet is to someone in rural India or Angola

As a founder based in semi-rural Yorkshire, I dont have much of a local network, so Adas List is my main route to tips, news, opportunities and discussion.

The greatest rise of information and communications in history will not be truly revolutionary until it benefits everyone in every part of the world.

@anjali28 @othervalleys @adaslist #IAMW16Build an internet and a culture that create products and services of *true value*no matter where you are

@anjali28 @othervalleys @adaslist #IAMW16Its easy to use the internet, or at least for all of us it is. Its much harder to create true value out of it, and harder still for that value to be realised with the ability for people to extend that value that they get further. The hope with projects like Other Valleys and Adas List is that we build the internet we want to see. A place that is welcoming of people of all backgrounds, self-aware instead of living in a closed bubble, and acting as easy to mould connective tissue instead of thick opaque walls. It is in that world that we will build an internet and a culture that creates products and services of true value. I mean this in the economic sense of the term: the true value of a product is the price a customer will pay for a product, not what you think it should be.
