On 24 February 2011, dur-ing the NUS Excellence Day, the Annual Safety & Health Performance Award was presented.

The Department of

Orthopaedic Surgery with its very comfortable score of 86/100 points, qualified for the NUS Annual Safety & Health Performance Award 2011 - Silver Award.

A celebratory dinner at the NUSS Kent Ridge Guild House was held on the same evening as the Silver Award of the Annual Safety & Health Performance Award 2011 was presented.

About 50 academic staff,

researchers, laboratory tech-nologist and colleagues came to celebrate the pres-entation of the Annual Safety & Health Perform-ance Silver Award.

After a cocktail reception, Prof. Wong gave a welcome

address. This was followed by a sumptuous dinner.

A Safety Awareness Quiz using an audience response system was conducted.

Our last department activity of Y2011, “Treasure hunt”, was held on 25 November 2011. Teams spent an hour or so hunting down places on NUS campus according to their respective clues. We had 2 winning groups!
