The TLE Program The Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) Department aims to develop the knowledge and skills, values and attitudes of our students and prepare them for the various courses they will take in college; furthermore when they enter the world of work. It provides opportunities for students to face the challenges related to family and daily living, improve their present and future lives and enhance their development as dynamic, productive and responsible members of the school, the community, and eventually, the country. It draws knowledge from many disciplines and uses the experiences and needs of students to make learning meaningful in both personal and family contexts. It focuses on helping students develop practical abilities related to the following: Foods and Applied Nutrition; Home and Family Living; Basic Technical Drawing; Basic Web Development for First Year Food Service Management, Basic Electronics;Advanced Technical Drawing; Web Development using MS Frontpage for Second Year Marketing; Nursing Arts; Practical Electricity; Computer Programming using MS Visual Basic for Third Year Baking; Home Management and Child Care;Accounting and Bookkeeping; Microsoft Excel and Computer Programming using C Language for Fourth Year The Edukasyong Pantahan at Pangkabuhayan or EPP program for the Grade School, is a combination of basic Home Economics, Personality Development, Basic Sewing and Gardening. This aims to develop in our grade schoolers the love and respect for work. They will also be exposed to the different handicraft activities and projects that will enhance their manipulative skills and creativity. The Computer Program for the grade school students is geared toward providing students with experience and skills using computer programs which will aid them in their school and personal applications. It aims to demonstrate proper use and care of computer equipment, as well as to be aware of current trends in information technology. Computer in Kinder 1 to Grade 2 levels is used as an aid to instruction in English and Math. Activities supplement and enrich lessons in spelling, grammar and usage, reading and basic Math operations. In Grade 3, pupils are introduced to the rudiments of computer education. In Grades 4 to 6, students are taught how to use different software applications such as word processor, spreadsheet, presentation programs and the use of Internet as a research and networking tool. Touch-typing or keyboarding is one of the skills taught in Grades 3-6.
