Event Sponsors: The Technology Centre for Offshore and Marine, Singapore (TCOMS) is hosting the 42 nd Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Research Forum Date: Wednesday, 10 April 2019 Time: 9:00 am to 2.00 pm Venue: Engineering Auditorium - EA Faculty of Engineering, National University of Singapore Agenda The FPSO Research Forum gathers representatives from oil companies, operators, contractors, yards, research institutes and safety authorities to share their experience in FPSO developments, challenges and research. The Forum is an ideal platform to hear about ongoing developments, discuss new ideas and forge new plans for future Joint Industry Projects (JIPs). The theme for this year’s forum is on Floating Storage Regasification Units. FSRUs offer mobile LNG storage and regasification solutions that are more cost-effective than fixed land-based terminals. FSRUs are also ideal solutions for locations without existing pipeline infrastructure. TCOMS cordially invites the industry and academic community to participate in the Forum, hear from domain experts, and engage in discussions with industry leaders on FSRU developments. Subjects covering the complete lifecycle from concept development to operation can be discussed at the Forum. There will be a pitching session on proposals for new JIPs, which participants may wish to join. The Forum also includes a technical tour to the TCOMS Deepwater Ocean Basin, which is currently being fitted out with state-of-the-art wave and current generation systems to simulate harsh ocean environments. The agenda for the day is as follows: 9am – 12pm: Guest Lectures, Panel Discussions on FSRUs 12pm – 1pm: Lunch 1pm – 2pm: JIP Pitches 2pm – 4pm: Technical Tour to TCOMS 7pm – 10pm: Banquet Dinner at Orchard Hotel Registration Registration fees for this event are S$190 for local participants, and S$150 for students. Each registration also includes a Conference Banquet Dinner at Orchard Hotel. A 10% discount will be applied for members of participating local organisations.
