Special thankS

To my awesome wife Abby!

Proofreading done by Sam Wohl and Abby Wohl.

We wanted this game to be a mash-up of all the best parts of the fighting games we’ve played in the arcades and the gashapon figures that most of the game, anime and comics are based on.

Our challenge to you is for you to bring your crew to the table and fight it out. Play fair, fight honorably and most of all, have fun!

No pre-measuring on the battlefield when it’s not your turn.

wHat Is super GaCHapon fIGHter omeGa InfInIty?Players pit their gachapon toys against each other for points. Depending on the

number of players, you can control one or more gachapon and do battle against other teams in a fighting game style of play.

You will build statistics (stats) for your gachapon fighters (called gachafighters) and give them techniques to use in battle. These techniques allow the gachafighter to throw beams, dive at foes or boost their stats!

Everyone playing chooses sides and battles it out for points! Gachafighters will fight until the Timer reaches zero; when the team with the most points wins.

wHat Is a GaCHapon?A gachapon (or gashapon) can be referred to as a capsule toy, typically made of plastic

with a base for standing. The statuettes usually emulate a cartoon, comic book, fantasy, or sci-fi character. For the purposes of this game, any toy, statuette or model that can stand on its own can be used.

Gachapon were once intended only for show. Now, bring them to life in battle: make them gachafighters!

tarGet numberThe details of battle mechanics will be explained in later chapters, but the basic

premise is this:A player rolls dice with a specific number in mind. This number is called the “target

number” (or TN). Any time a target number is rolled, it is called a “jab.”To attack, Player 1 needs to roll a 4 or more on their dice. They roll 5 dice and get a 1, 4,

4, 6, and 2. This translates to 3 jabs.

dICeThe dice used in Super Gachapon Fighter Omega Infinity are your standard six-sided

kind. The game is set up so that you can use dice to keep track of your gachafighter’s health bar, charge bar and battle dice without having to write anything down. With a minimum of 15 six-sided dice, you can easily keep track of your health bar and charge bar, with dice left over for rolling.

If you want to be able to play without having to keep track of numbers on paper, you should have:

6 or more dice for your gachafighter’s health bar.3 dice for your gachafighter’s charge bar.6 or more dice for rolling.1 larger special die.Any extra dice the players may have should be used for battle dice. You will find that

while you are in battle, the dice are used up quickly and awarded just as fast! Each set of dice should be a different color to keep everything organized (i.e, red dice for health bar, green dice for charge bar, Blue dice for rolling, and white for battle dice).

comparinG SucceSSeS

The other half of this basic premise is taking away successes. The defending player’s successes, called “blocks,” remove jabs from the attacker’s roll.

To defend, Player 2 needs to roll a 5 or more on their dice. They roll 5 dice and get a 1, 1, 5, 4, and 3. The defender got only one “block” on their roll.

Any left over jabs translate into successes. If there are any successes left over, the attack hits the defender.

1 block removes only one jab, leaving 2. This equals 2 successes and the attack hits the defender.

tarGet number modiFierS

Some skills, techs, and game situations will make certain rolls easier by lowering the target number. When a skill or situation gives a “-1 to TN,” that’s a good thing.

Player 3’s skill gives him a -1 to his TN when rolling against a projectile attack. This means that instead of the normal 5 target number, Player 3 can roll a 4 to get a block.

teCHInque dIeIn order to use your gachafighter’s technique (or techs) a Technique Die (Tech Die)

must be rolled. This is a single die roll before the attack roll. Each tech has a target number associated with it. Before the tech can be used, you have to roll this number or higher.

For example, Player 4 wants to use a projectile to attack Player 1. The target for the Tech Die is 2. A 3 was rolled, which allows Player 4 to use the projectile tech in the attack.

battLe dICeThese are bonus dice that are added to your various rolls. These can also be sacrificed

to cause more damage to your opponents. Your gachafighter starts with at least one of these dice. When you use them for a bonus, they are spent. Never fear, successful fighting awards your gachafighter with more.

GaCHapon basesEvery gachafighter should have a base. This represents the amount of space they take

up. While there is no facing (meaning, gachafighters do not have a front or back) in this game, typically the direction the attacker is threatening an opponent is considered the front. This is used to resolve the direction the impact of a hit will take.

Since gachapon come in all sizes, there are no regulation sizes in this system. Circular bases work best for supporting your gachapon, and can also be of any size. If your gachafighter has an oddly-shaped base, feel free to use our circular base available for download.

touchinG baSeS

For many actions, the gachafighter must be in “base-to-base” contact with their opponent. Simply put, this occurs when your base touches another gachafighter’s base. To get to your opponent’s base, you have to measure and move.

TO USE CERTAIN COMBAT OPTIONSATTACKER NEEDS TO BE TOUCHING

BASES WITH DEFENDER AT THEEND OF THEIR MOVEMENT

turns and roundsIt is a gachafighter’s turn when it can move and attack. When someone’s turn is over

the next gachafighter in the combat order goes. A round is over when all gachafighters have had a turn to act. When that occurs the timer goes down by 1 and players reroll Combat Order.

INC is measured with the above. If your gachafighter has “4 MOV” then you can move four of these INC markers. Depending on the action, you would line these up in a straight line or lay them down one by one to make a curving path around obstacles. There are also times when movement is cut in half: INC have a line down the middle to make it easier to measure.

As stated in the cardinal rules of play, your gachafighter’s movement or line of sight fits through any space that the INC fits through. This is the case even if your gachafighter’s base is wider. Keep in mind that you cannot stop in a space that is smaller than your base.

measurementThis is an increment (INC). The official INC is four inches long (about 10cm) and a little over half an inch wide.

ranGe attaCksThe INC markers are also used to determine distance. Throwing, radial attacks, impact,

and projectiles use INC markers to check for line of sight.

line oF SiGht

When you are making a ranged attack, place the INC in a straight line, from the edge of your base in the direction you want it to go. This is called “line of sight.” Any base that is touching the line of sight can be a target for your attack. Each type of combat action has different rules concerning line of sight; sometimes only one foe can be hit. Other times, everyone touching line of sight is at risk. Also, barriers block line of sight so get behind cover if you don’t want to be hit!

Combat roLesThe first role is, of course, you the player. Players can control a single gachafighter or

a team. You are the most important part of the game! When playing the game, be fair, honorable, and make sure all the rules are being followed.

attacker

The attacker is the player whose turn it is, and rolls their Priority dice to attack a foe.

deFender

The defender is the player who is the main target of an attack. Defenders roll their Guard dice to block incoming attacks.

byStander

Any player not engaged on their turn is a bystander. These gachafighters can be affected by attacks indirectly. This is usually done by techs with Blast or Drill or by getting knocked back into other gachafighters.

ball projectile marker

When attacking with a Ball Projectile tech and there is no opponent in line of sight, you use the ball marker to indicate its current position on the battlefield.

This round marker indicates movement, direction and spaces to place dice. The marker is moved around with distance measured from its edge. When an opponent is far away, it may take a couple of rounds to reach them. The marker represents your Ball Projectile traveling across the battlefield.

• The TN for Beam and Ball Projectile is 2. Torpedo, Counter, Reflect and Radial is 3. Grab and Boost is 4.

battle die

• Used to augment attack and defense, allowing the gachafighter to roll more dice for successes.

• Once they are used, they are gone but more can be gained during play by scoring points.

• Each gachafighter starts with at least 1 battle die when first created.

line oF SiGht

• Measure line of sight from your gachafighter base edge. • If your line of sight touches any part of your target’s base, you can attack.• When you want to hit multiple targets make sure the line of sight is touching all your

target’s bases.• Barriers block line of sight.

combat roleS

• The attacker is the player who’s turn it currently is. They roll the PRI dice.• The defender is the main target of an attack. They roll GRD dice.• The bystander is any gachafighter that is not the main target of an attack or has a
