PASTOR’S NOTE
“Change your hearts and lives and believe the Good News!”
Mark 1:15b NCV
It is our prayer that this New Year will be a time of changed hearts and minds with many be-lieving the Good News of Jesus Christ. We pray that our church family will prosper both spiritually and materially in this New Year. Change what needs to be changed, and believe and rejoice in the Good News of our Savior.
On Sunday, January 3, 2021, I will bring the State of the Church mes-sage. We will look back over the previous year to evaluate and cele-brate our ministry, and we will look ahead to the year before us. Come and worship on this first Sunday of 2021. Let us trust in our God and Savior in this New Year of challenges.
On Wednesday evenings in Janu-ary, we will begin a new Bible study on the Book of Job: “Dealing with Adversity.” Considered the oldest book in the Bible, Job deals with one of the oldest problems of humanity: why do bad things hap-pen to good people? At this time, we will continue to do our Bible study on our Facebook livestream: Zhbc Buford.
I will bring a three-part sermon se-ries titled: “A New Year, A New Start,” during January. Come and be encouraged by God’s Word for the New Year. Start a New Year with faith in God.
We will observe the Lord’s Supper on Sunday, January 31. Come and remember what our Lord and Sav-ior did for us on the cross. Come and partake of the first communion of 2021.
Thank you for your faithfulness dur-ing the last year. I ask you to be faithful in prayer and giving in 2021. And just so you know—I love being your pastor!
