    The strange and surprising !urne" !# a ps"$hi$ Hea%er

At six years old stuf happens and theres nothing you can do about it. The bombs ell onus every night in Manchester but you had to be brave because everyone was in such astate. Hitler was rude, but only soppy children cried and was a hero. was probably a!aint too, but couldnt do much about that until we "ed to the !outh o #ngland where could build a $hapel in the %arden, that sixty years later morphed into my Healing$entre in &rittany. was inspired by #nid &lytons The 'amous 'ive, whose motto was

(Adventures come to the Adventurous). *ou had to live boldly on the edge, ear nothingand cavort with dragons. !o sharpened stic+s or my bowandarrow, sang loud prayersthat had made up mysel, and earlessly stal+ed the Holy %host who was hiding in thewardrobe. -ne night hauled a ouryrold boy of to +ill Hitler. /e got to the $oop atthe end o the road beore we had to turn bac+ because he was crying. !adly noone hadmissed us. &ut we had done our bit or the /ar #fort. Then at seven went to boardingschool. still didnt realise was a girl.

/H- 0A1#! /2! 3motto o the !A!4The !A! does not recruit women so would have no chance to prove mysel. 5ust as well, because at that time was still bent on becoming a !aint. There were problems with this6there was %ood &ehaviour, which meant sitting still and doing your sums right, so thatnobody noticed you. 3!o what was the point74 And you had to be radiant. &ut howeverloudly you sang noone noticed this either. !o thought could be some sort o warriorsaint, who dared and won and sought the Holy %rail, 3some relative o the Holy %host assumed.4 This was better. &ecause saw one thing very clearly6 however oolish grownups were, they were redeemed by reaching or the stars8 and it was this (trip), thelegendary role they strived or, that gave them nobility and meaning. 'or without theinspiration o this 0A1# our lives are boring, humdrum and mediocre. And was trulyterri9ed o boredom, because +new that time was running out and it was a race againstthe cloc+.

TH# T2* %A: T/##2 $A11-T A20 !T$; never got over the hours o my childhood wasted in pointless hanging around and havenever made up or them. Theres such a tiny gap between the carrot and the stic+,between reward and punishment, to sendetachment that protects us rom sufering and desire can be cowardice i we are notable to participate in lie. The point is surely to ma+e ourselves strong enough to beinvolved and ta+e a chance, to put ourselves on the line and ris+ humiliation and deeat.(&e a mensch my son?) &etween the rewarding carrot and the punishing stic+ there is so

little room to manoeuvre, dont let us delude ourselves that each moment doesntmatter.

TH# @A1%# %A: T/##2 %--0 HA-B1 A20 TH# %#2#T$ $-0#0o microbiologists get a clearer view o %od than the rest o us7 t is so astounding toloo+ through an electron microscope and see the stuf that lie is made o. s this not%od7 /e are told by astrophysicists that we are made o stardust, and that the microorganisms which created lie came rom outer space. !o i this is who we are what elsedo we need to +now7 %od exists somewhere in the gap between good behaviour and thegenetic code. And its a large gap8 He has room to breathe.

&ut theres another +ind o +nowing isnt there7 /hen the soul is deaened by thethunder o the universe, it trembles in wonder and ear, and longs or the ultimaterelationship that shatters all worldly ties and "oods us with awe and reverence and thede9nitive +nowledge o who we really are on earth. And this cannot be read in boo+s itcan only be experienced.

n my teens went to tea with two rather stri+ing old Gua+er ladies called $adbury, wholistened breathlessly to boxing matches on the radio, 3(Hit him 5oe?)4. They had ayounger brother who blew his share o the amily ortune by going to live with beggarson the street and not bothering too much about personal hygiene. This was more li+e it.&ut was not see+ing a role model8 thought we had each to 9nd our own way out o theorest. And i anything was an #xistentialist, but mainly because o the long s+irts andthe eye ma+eup.

was so busy living to the hilt that hadnt spared a thought or religion, and my poordarling mother had given it a bad name. !o when was under psychic attac+ turned toa remar+able !piritual Healing organisation called (/hite #agle @odge) whose inspiration

came rom a 1ed ndian $hie. They sorted me out, protected me, and gave me my 9rstexperience o spiritual healing. had become extremely ill and had to give up wor+, letmy "at and go to the country. d already learned to meditate, and had started $hineseTraditional Acupuncture, 3which is spiritually based4, and then met a TM teacher whowas an astrologer. And many strange things started to happen. sun+ into exceptionally deep states o consciousness which loo+ed li+e death to thepoor soul who was loo+ing ater me. couldnt even open my eyes on some days, and hethought was on the way out. &ut eventually emerged with some unexpected insights6 dreamt was carrying a baby through a huge underground showerroom where all thetaps had been let on and the water o lie was running away. /ith extraordinary ease

and grace swooped round this building with my baby, turning of the taps efortlessly. ttoo+ me many hours to surace rom this dream and several days to recover rom it. tchanged me in some way./hen at last got bac+ to @ondon something else happened. -n a ban+holiday wee+end ound mysel alone in my "at with nothing to read and all the shops and librariesclosed. was about to turn on the tele when an inner voice said6 (Theres a boo+ on theshel you havent really read.) t was the 2ew Testament given to me by my mother, long since dead. too+ it down and started to read it as i it was a novel or detective story. read thegospels three times, loo+ing or an authentic portrait o the man they called 5esus.

$utting through the :1 and the hype, was searching or a real voice that wouldrecognise. And ound it? heard mysel saying6 (&ut +now you?) (*es.) started tolaugh6 (&ut youre my riend?) (- course?) The whole business was real and not in theleast (spiritual) or (religious). !earching painsta+ingly every word or inner meaning came across (The @amb o %od.) wonder what that means, thought, its a long timesince saw a lamb. -n an impulse turned on the tele and there were lambs bouncingabout all over the screen. -nce they were (at home) they could determine on this inner Eourney themselves anddirect it step by step, as it would need courage. They could decide6/hen they were ready to start J/here to go, and how to get there they would li+e me to go with them J etc.And rom then on anything could happen.

And it did. #xtraordinary things happened almost at once. The psyche revealed an

ama=ing ability to create scenarios that played out buried con"icts, longorgottentraumas and un+nown terrors. And, most surprising o all, it seemed to +now what to doabout them. How to resolve and heal them. was stunned. had no idea we all had suchunconscious creative power in us. t almost did itsel. had only to create a sae havenand carry them there and bac+ saely in one piece.&ut the problem was still J how do you %round people7 +new they had to be relaxed and eel at ease because any efort interered with theprocess. 3 resorted to ofering a gin tonic to one member o the aristocracy, and eventold Eo+es in a sort o >en desperation.4 &ut would still sit ga=ing anxiously wondering ithey were down or not. As their eyes were closed had to concentrate on subtle changesin breathing and voice timbre, and soon began to +now when it was wor+ing. didnt

+now how tal+ed people down, 3 still dont4, but ater a ew months was beginning toeel less anxious and even wondered i had some sort o Healing git. was rudely awa+ened rom this ancy when a young man had never seen beore satdown in ront o me, obediently closed his eyes, and instantly %rounded beore hadopened my mouth. stared ama=ed. had done nothing. t wasnt me that was doing it? had to be there or it to happen saely, but it wasnt me in charge? $ollapse o stout party.t was a blow to my ego, but also a relie, as now +new it would happen anyway.About this time people began to complain they had bruises on the bottom. They hadnt ocourse, there were no physical symptoms o any +ind, but the downward pull was sostrong, it extended way below the sacral vertebrae into the centre o the earth. However

it was another twenty years beore dared to accept the evidence beore me, and admitthat %ravity itsel was a healing orce that could uniy and restore the psyche i we putour aith in it. never spo+e o these things during the sessions8 that would haveinterered with the process o %rounding, which must remain innocent and un+nowing. tdid itsel. All this time d been as+ing people to listen to the tape o the session at home, to %roundthemselves morning and evening, and stabilise it. &ut then one day a lady returned orher ollowup ater a months gap, with such startling radiance and shining eyes, that as+ed what shed been doing. !he apologised at once. !hed been too busy to do what said and had been listening to the tape in her sleep. !o THAT was the way to do it?

There was no training or what was doing8 was a sort o 0ynorod. - course d readthe psychology boo+s and done the courses, but the role o psychopomp demanded that had crossed the river mysel and +new the way to the other side. n my rec+less, irregularlie had hitchhi+ed alone in #urope, raced dinghies solo, led roc+ climbs, bac+pac+edalone in the mountains, braved psychic attac+s and had close encounters with death, so was not easily surprised or rightened. This seemed to help, or people trusted me withtheir lives.t was a huge privilege to be present at these inner Eourneys, which never guided. t wasentirely their choice, but all descended into the dar+. Many (saw the light), some (dran+rom a pool o pure water), and all arrived earlessly, healed and strengthened.&ut how to establish this state o being so they couldnt be uprooted7#verything depended on the preliminary wor+ done in the 9rst hour o the session, wherewe ully discussed the essence o the problem and chose a realistic goal to be achievedthat day.

    9/26

n a ully %rounded state, having met the (monster) at a deep level and communicatedwith it, we could reintroduce this goal and discover a practical way o attaining it. 2ewand surprising solutions oten appeared at this stage, and it was always clear that thesehad not been contrived8 they were too unexpected. And too simple.Ater this they would sleep or an hour, on the "oor o course. This was absolutelynecessary realised, or it was then that %rounding was established and con9rmed./hen they wo+e up we had tea and biscuits, recapitulated all that had been achieved, and discussed the best way to maintain it.

m appalled at my 9rst attempts twenty9ve years ago and would now regard the Eob asonly haldone. t would not meet my present criterion o unsha+eable deeprooted%rounding, but it was the best could do at the time, and it seemed to help people. n atiny "at of a noisy High !treet under the Heathrow "ightpath, in a sort o 5umboEet5uggernaut sandwich, saw writers and actors, television producers and barristers, models and photographers, business men and company directors, ma+eup artists, singers and painters, and many healers and therapists. #ventually had a sixmonthwaitinglist. saw one person a day, 3 could not do more4, and the aim was to see themtwice only. Ater that %rounding demanded they be independent o me and ta+e control otheir own lives. 3All owned a tape o the session as a standby i needed, and believesome o the tapes went round the world.4

:-!!#!!-2Many people dont realise to what extent we are not truly ree. A lot o us are possessedby something6 be it an idea, a doctrine, a liegoal or ambition, a vocation, an obsession,or a need to prove ourselves. And sometimes, yes, even by an alien being6 a tormentedperson, a child, a (creature), or a needy and demanding spirit who has ound a home inus and eeds of our energies, distorting our lie and reducing our scope. !igns are acuteear and anxiety, obsessiveCcompulsive disorder, eelings o uncleanness and extremehandwashing, strange preoccupations with contaminating obEects, and an especiallyvicious orm o psychic terror we might call (the creeps), which literally chills the blood

and reduces the body temperature. These states o mind are nasty8 they prey on us,eeding of our most primitive instincts, and they must be eliminated during the processo %rounding because we need to be ree in order to be ourselves. Aterwards we maychoose a particular concern to devote ourselves to, consciously and o our ree will. Thatis diferent. The important thing is that we have a proound spo+en need to rid ourselveso The @odger and that he leaves voluntarily o his ree will, or hell be bac+, because heis onto a good thing. !o we must tal+ it through with him. This ta+es some time. -ten hegoes without uss because he +nows hes not the legitimate tenant, and he is either thereby mista+e or because we are used to him. n the case o a child or an animal we may9nd them alternative accommodation so they are not let out in the cold. /hoever it is wemust ma+e sure they go !-M#/H#1#, and do not wander in limbo, or theyll return. Much

energy is reed by this release rom possession, and lives may change as a result.:ossession is not to be conused with 0ual :ersonality where two spirits occupy the samebody, usually one wea+ and one strong, and a sort o 5e+yll L Hyde agenda can operate.3*ou may +now people li+e this8 it is more common than you thin+.4 &ut as %rounding isachieved by a deep longing or personal change it would not wor+ here, as presumablythe status

never +now when we will be tried li+e this, but i our habitual response to lie is nothonest, courageous and truthul, we will be ound out. -ur "aws and wea+nesses willreveal our real identity, and no bluster or posturing can save us. A credibility gap willyawn, and we will slowly, oh so slowly, begin to realise we have been living a lie. There isno way round this war =one8 the only way is through. !o the sooner we come to termswith it the better. t is a huge opportunity or personal reappraisal and transormation, and it may be the beginning o great things.

/A1'A1# and #-@BT-2The tiniest, most primitive orms o lie on our planet are territorial8 it seems to be ourmost basic instinct. A chic+ emerging rom the egg can turn to attac+ its sibling evenbeore it is ully hatched. And territory needs deending, so its wise to appropriate thepatch nextdoor as well, Eust to be on the sae side. $on"ict ensues. The big boy will win,and ta+e over the site. This is warare. The norm. As basic to lie on earth as the anxiety itprovo+es. And dont +now why we are so shoc+ed and surprised by it. /hat is trulyextraordinary is the way that gigantic colonies o gulls or people can live together withinspitting distance and not +ill each other.!ome maEor adaptation has ta+en place or people to dwell in cities8 we have made a loto concessions, deprived ourselves o many liberties, limited our choices and our scope.

This is a truly startling achievement. /e have become ama=ingly socialised. /e havelearnt to care or each other, loo+ ater each other, and provide or each other. !ervice isnow seen as an industry, along with manuacturing goods and exporting them. /e havebecome so very sensitised to the needs o others and the obligation to conorm, that wedont notice how weve changed. Mothers now routinely leave new babies with childminders to go out to wor+ to pay or (a new car or the baby). s this #volution7 so, whyare our children raping and +illing each other7 /hy are we trashing our cities and burningour neighbourhoods7 Has the astonishing ingenuity, spiritual energy and artistic genius othe cavedwellers come to this7

#2$-B2T#1! /TH TH# 0A1;This is a rum do and dont pretend to understand it, but there must be somecombination o imbecility and helplessness in me that obliges people to coness all. Andor some reason am never shoc+ed or surprised. never as+ i they are serial +illers ocourse, but when it eventually comes out, 3as it will4, my reaction is more li+ely to be (-hmy dear, how tiresome or you, youd better sit down), than (0ont come near me, mcalling the police?)t started when was about twelve8 my mother suddenly conessed that shed +illed herown mother to curtail her sufering. t seems my grandmother had pric+ed her 9nger on asewing machine, contracted septicaemia, had her right arm amputated and was thenmurdered by her compassionate daughter. was suspicious o this airytale, but my

mother clearly sufered deeply rom it, deluded or not, and needed to tal+ about it, so went along with it. This was only the beginning. !oon a business riend o my atherswho was (giving me a lit home), abandoned his attempts to seduce me in order toconess hed +illed his own baby. @ater a writer, a scion o an ancient house, describedhow he had raped his mother. soon realised it didnt matter i they were telling the truthor Eust showing of, they had to coness it and was there. shrugged these things ofthen and have never mentioned them.t is more galling when am the obEect o their attentions and people are trying to +ill me.This is understandable as ve intimated earlier8 am a very irritating person because am unimpressed by these eforts and reuse to be intimidated by them. 3My 9rstexperience was at boardingschool, age N, when Matron beat me around the head with achair or bouncing on the bed when was supposed to be ill. My parents were inormed othe bruising but were told Matron had apologised and as+ed 5esus to orgive her, so nomore was said.4

@uc+ily have a hardwor+ing, ullyunctioning guardian angel who wont let the car startwhen the bra+e cable has been cut, or instance. -ther numerous examples involvechainsaws and waterpipes mysteriously lea+ing onto electric circuits.Attempts on my lie by blac+ magic have now extended to include my two closestriends, who tragically died in the same wee+ in the same building without ever havingmet. And now my orest is under attac+, and the great giant pine, OO t high, theguardian o this healing centre, has been elled by oolish neighbours who did not evenown it.

&ut cant Eudge these acts because we can all be used by the 0ar+, though its hard tospot the part we play. As soon as (the other) is classed as the wrongdoer, we can blamethem or everything, whereas they may be unconscious o the damage they do. /ebelieve we are the innocent, illused party, and they are the nasty ones. they areindeed being used they need rescuing not sending bac+ into the dar+, which will onlyeed it and exacerbate the problem. 'or we need orgiveness as much as they do. This isa hard moment o sel+nowledge and it hurts. &ut we can do even more damage i wedont orgive, because we will be claimed by the dar+ ourselves and experience thecontagious ear that breeds despair. And these things accumulate power and can destroy.

There is no need or emotional proEection or identi9cation with thesufering o the other, and this unbiased sympathetic detachment may be close to whatis meant by ($ompassion). &ecause the intellectual demands are rigorous, the pin+balloon has less pulling power, and the constant need or calculations +eeps you earthbound. However it must be emphasised that tal+ing about planets releases their energy, and now curtail all astrological discussion once the necessary problems have beenexposed. 3 was ama=ed that an international group o top astrologers at the AA

Andonce or twice in your lie you may do that./hen you are healing other people, this process is mysteriously hiEac+ed by themupstairs who ta+e over the proceedings so you oten dont +now what is going on. As theyhave a better handle on it than you do, you learn to trust this and let them get on with it.*ou dont +now why youve been chosen, but that is not your afair8 somewhere along the

line you have agreed to be o use, 3possibly beore you were born74, and thats all that isnecessary.

CHIRON THE )OUNDING THAT HEALS OTHERSt has ta+en me a lietime to identiy the sufering in"icted on me by this small planetoid,or whenever $H1-2 aspects a natal planet, there will be a deep psychic wound.Mysteriously this hurt always appears to be ones own ault, or even selin"icted, so thateven when a perpetrator is clearly identi9ed, the outcome is received as punishment orun+nown crimes. This acceptance o pain and brutality in"icted by others will correspond to the positionand sign o the natal planet aspected, and the closeness o the orb. And i you are

punished very oten you clearly deserve it, so you carry on as usual, ma+ing the best oyour plummeting selesteem. Most people have a $hiron aspect somewhere in theircharts though not always within signi9cant orb, and Healers sometimes have a !unconEunction. n my chart have !un, Moon, enus, Mars, !aturn and 2eptune within P degorb, and Mercury within Q deg, so it is unavoidable, and my lie has been hiEac+ed by aseries o inexplicable inEuries, and many accidents associated with the medicalproession. 3 no longer dare go to the 0octor, or even the 0entist, or have learnt that will come away ill or damaged in some way.4How this roc+bottom selesteem translates into healing others dont +now, but that isthe conventional wisdom, and learnt very early on that attracted the damaged and

wounded as well as the brutal and psychotic. cannot explain the mechanism involved, and can only suppose that a beaten animal becomes more psychically aware o thewounds o others. Also there is no doubt that having passed through the (deathexperience) twice, emerged more sensiti=ed to the sufering o others and programmedto help when could. Maybe this was the catalyst that activated the $H1-2 efect, andshowed me how to %1-B20 people7

%rounding sets in motion a process o continuous transormation.

ts aim is to release deepseated problems and inhibitions speedily and efortlessly.

t cannot be understood rationally or explained psychologically.

t can be taught in two sessions, leaving the individual ree to pursue his own lie.

2o permanent therapeutic relationship is established, so no dependency.

As ollowup is limited, the later progress o the individual is not +nown.

!uccess depends on a determination to stic+ with it and listen to the tape at night.

As individuals will determine their own progress, there can be no prognosis.

1esults cant be substantiated or veri9ed, but impressive advances can be made inthe shortterm. Aterwards it depends on individuals ta+ing responsibility orthemselves.

t is not a tal+ing cure, but some initial analysis is essential. This should berigorous, penetrating and determined. The more you understand the problem thebetter the chances o solving it.

-nce the %rounding process is underway, anything seems to be possible.

THE DOLEFUL DA&SEL&ut not everyone wants to be healed. And, astonishingly, not everyone wants to behappy. was truly ta+en abac+ by what happened that day. An attractive young librarian
