Life Drawing - 10:00am - 12:30pm, $15 (2nd & 4th Thurs of the month). Includes model and tuition. Beginners welcome. Bring own easel and materials. **NEW** Lino Club - 1:00pm - 3pm, $5. (Starting 20 May). Explore carving and printing with fellow printmakers, using the materials on site. Social Table Tennis - 10:00am - 12:00pm (Uraidla Institute), gold coin donation. Karra Watta Community Lunches A free community lunch available to anyone in the community who may be feeling a little isolated, is new to the area or would like to reconnect with old friends and make new connections by coming together to enjoy a hearty meal.

Dance Class with Sarah A series of three dance classes in May, exploring a variety of dance types for people with all levels of experience.

Thinkers of The Hills Lecture Series A fascinating series of lectures presented by extraordinary Adelaide Hills residents.

Lino Printmaking Open Studio Learn Lino printmaking techniques and extend your practice with artist Julia Wakefield. All materials are supplied and beginners are welcome. Once you feel confident, come to The Summit any Thursday afternoon and continue carving and printing with fellow printmakers, using the materials on site.

Drumming Workshop with African Soul Enjoy African drumming in a fun, relaxed, family friendly environment. Group drumming brings people together in a safe space and allows you to immerse yourself in the ancient rhythm of the drums.

Women’s Circle Women have been gathering together for millennia to share experiences, stories, reflections, thoughts and ideas. Women’s circles offer a safe and supportive space for women of all ages and backgrounds to come together and share. Join Amanda from Wildwood Basket Range to come together in circle to connect and share, to meditate and reflect, to journal and to move to music.

Reconciliation Week Didge and Dance Workshop A workshop for children aged 5+. Join local Aboriginal artist David Booth for an interactive dance movement workshop sharing stories, dance, games and a didgeridoo demonstration.

Reconciliation Week Campfire Storytelling Join local Aboriginal artist David Booth during Reconciliation Week for a campfire storytelling evening. Bring a blanket, get comfortable by the campfire and listen to an old story and learn why story is so important to pass on to future generations. While we will light the area up, it will be dark, so please bring a torch or light. Includes a mug of soup on arrival.

The Red Shed Sunday Sessions Come along to our Sunday morning session at The Red Shed at Uraidla on the last Sunday of each month. All welcome, and no special skills required. Work on your own project, repair broken items, get involved in a community project whilst meeting new people.

Clay Handbuilding Small Bottles and Vases Come and learn the art of hand building clay small bottles and vases with Rebecca Prince. A relaxing, tactile and fun workshop that will focus on a variety of hand building techniques and clay decoration. Materials and firing included. KESAB DIY Cleaning and Personal Care Products Presentation and Workshop Many common household products are easy to make yourself with simple, everyday ingredients. Reduce plastic use and the chemicals in your home and save money. We will begin with a presentation and Q&A on low waste living and plastic avoidance and follow with a hands-on workshop where you can make your own samples to take home. Soy Candle Making Workshop This is a hands on, beginners workshop covering the basics of candle making with step by step instructions on how to make a scented soy candle. You will make one soy candle and one diffuser to take home. All materials, equipment will be supplied. Please wear closed toe shoes, old clothes and bring a bag or box to carry candles home. Abstract Mixed Media Painting Join Rebecca Prince to experiment with abstract mixed media painting and explore creativity for relaxation and self care.

After School Beeswax Wraps for Kids KESAB’s beeswax wrap workshops are an opportunity for children (with the help of parents) to make their own personalised plastic-free alternative to cling wrap! A fantastic way to reduce waste and create something beautiful, practical and eco-friendly! You will also receive DIY instructions so you can do it again yourself! For ages 5+. Painting Watercolour Native Birds Join local artist Rebecca Prince for a four week short course that explores painting native birds. Basic materials (paper, paints and brushes) provided. Please bring sketch paper and pencils. You are also welcome to supply your own paper if preferred. Suitable for people with previous painting experience who want to take their painting further.

Author talk with Pam Enjoy a morning with local Adelaide Hills author Pam Warner. Pam will discuss her new book, Red, and her journey as an author. Red is the romantic story of a disenchanted young woman, Katriana Sophia Eliza O’Shea. It is her search for who she is meant to be and her discovery that sometimes the wrong choices bring us to the right places.

Mosaics with Angela Create your very own mini mushroom to mosaic and take home. Create your design, learn tips and tricks to undertake the satisfying art of mosaics! Closed toe shoes and practical 'old' clothes required. A light lunch will be provided, please let us know of any dietary requirements. Resin Jewellery Making This workshop will cover mixing and colouring of resin, as well as various techniques to create unique jewellery pieces. Participants will also learn how finish their jewellery pieces with wet sanding technique. You can expect to walk away from this workshop with a piece of finished wearable jewellery as well as the appropriate knowledge to go forth and create resin jewellery from the com-fort of your own home. Dungeons and Dragons Join our monthly social Dungeons and Dragons group. Call 8389 1711 to register your interest. Please note this will be held in a campfire area next to the Gumeracha Skate Park. The ground is a little uneven and there is a slight incline. While we will light the area up, it will be dark, so please bring a torch or light. Fruit Tree Pruning Essentials Chris from KESAB will present a specialised session on fruit tree pruning techniques including a demonstration. A great opportunity to ask questions and meet our resident community centre garden group. Day to Night Makeup Are you bored with your everyday makeup look and not sure how to change it? Then this workshop will teach you tips and tricks to take you from day tonight under the expert guidance of international Makeup Artist Larissa Jones! Recommendations are also provided on what products that you should invest in and where to get low cost products. You will also receive a free makeup eBook to keep. All genders welcome. Please arrive with freshly cleaned skin, without makeup. Please take note of products to bring on the Eventbrite booking ask this when booking at the centre. Creatively remake your clothing Bring an item from your wardrobe that you don’t wear anymore, and work with Textile Artist Michele Jahn to work out what you can do with it. Learn some techniques on repair, plus get some ideas of how to upcycle and as well as ideas you can do at home, like printing, painting and bleaching or dyeing. You will receive a small mending kit to take home. It's all about upcycling and recycling and creating lasting beautiful art pieces you will continue to wear. Build Your Own Toolbox Join the Gumeracha Green Shed to build your very own timber tool box to take home or use as a gift. Ages 8+, please bring an Adult along to help. Are you ready for the next emergency? Learn how you can get prepared for an emergency at an information session organised by the Gumeracha Community Resilience Group. Held in the Gumeracha Town Hall.
