How We Got Our Start…Being a small community, mental health resources
are limited requiring creative and collaborative solutions to address our social service needs.
2001, Madison County Family Council identified the need for a coordinated response to crisis or disaster situations that could occur in our community.
By August of 2002, the CRT was a viable entity. With the support and approval of the Madison County Commissioners, coordination of the Crisis Response Team was transferred to the Madison County Emergency Management Agency and has become a significant component of our local Homeland Security strategy.
Our Purpose…Assist local mental health in dealing
with large scale or everyday identified crisis.
Identified the need to free up affected school personnel.
Encourage members to perform outreach.
Assist school with Crisis Plan Reviews & Development
Began working with the Fire & EMS service to provide debriefings.
